Let's be fair here. What are the differences between Cypriot Society and society in Germany, Australia, or USA?

The difference is that we are not cold people by nature. We became such following the rules of abnormal psychology due to events that affected us all.

Ok got you now.

But I still manage to find Cypriots who are so warm, it is difficult to compare them. Absolutely wonderful people.

But yes, it's very difficult to not be touched negatively if you go through major turmoils like war or being forcibly unsurped and cleansed from your roots.

Yes, there is still a great deal of trauma around effecting so many.

this is trauma passed on by the education system though not natural. how the hell can you inherit a refugee status if you live in the furkin house you are born in.

if you want to see trauma watch this.

No I am afraid that many are still alive who suffer significantly and then there is the lingering trauma of thousands who are forcibly detached from their roots.

You have the audacity to talk about the Aborigines or the North American Indians. Go look yourself in the mirror sport!

I today watched the video, thanks for the link.
This is perhaps the most enlightening documentary I 've ever seen on how division was actually planned and embedded in Cyprus by outside forces.
What really worries me, is the possibility the solution we are upto might not be for re-unification, but for the final seal of the old British-American-Turkish plan to keep Cyprus divided for their own interests.
Has this plan ever ended? What's the American Airfield at Lefkoniko (cost 500 million) going to be after a solution?

The yanks will keep it as a base I suspect. Northern Federation can rent it to them. after all we need all the help we can get till we find our feet.

What a disgustingly contemptible lack of sympathy for the 10,000s of CYs who carry the severest of emotional scars from the past, and who will do so for the rest of their lives.

You really are a toe-rag a lot of the time, Cousin Lesho...!!!
