One person reported injured when struck by a police gas cannister in Barbaros.

Representatives of the group attempting to march in Şişli are negotiating with the police.

Marchers in Beşiktaş have turned down a police proposal for 300-500 people to be allowed to go to Taksim.

In 2012, it was permitted and passed without even a nose bleed. Hüseyin Avni Mutlu, Provincial Governor of Istanbul, at the time commented that, "The first of May celebrations took place in a manner that accorded with the spirit of the festival."

Negotiations between the police and trade union leader Kani Beko have ended in Beşiktaş, and the police there are putting their riot helmets back on.
