Just been reading about the esteemed writer Paul Auster who is a member of the Global Literary community PEN which upholds freedom of expression and protection of writers. Naturally, Turkey is on their radar for its crimes against humanity ....

Auster was quoted as saying in an interview that he wouldn't visit Turkey to protest their treatment of journalists.

The Turkish Prime-Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan replied: "As if we need you! Who cares if you come or not?".[8]

"According to the latest numbers gathered by International PEN, there are nearly one hundred writers imprisoned in Turkey, not to speak of independent publishers such as Ragıp Zarakolu, whose case is being closely watched by PEN Centers around the world", responded Auster.

This struggle in Turkey is not between the "good and the bad" - they all the same.. Same mentality, same brutality, same paranoia, either they are in the government, in the police, in the army, in the legal system, or just plain laborers.
That's how they think, that's how they act. Violently, either they are holding the strings are beheld. And this extends to all sectors of their society even within families.

That's the kind of response you would get from almost anyone in Turkey. Provocative, arrogant, and in most cases paranoid

It is a typical naive response expected of children, the uneducated or from those with self-esteem issues. It is not a suitable response by a 'leader' against the world's elite intellectuals.

Erdogan is only fit to represent barbarians and savages.
