The hatred against the Turks is not racism. We hate the Turks because they occupy 1/3rd of a our country, not because of their skin color or their religion. Those who invade and occupy your country are the definition of an enemy: "<i>a hostile nation or its armed forces, especially in time of war.</i>". Cypriots are not more or less racist than others. If you compare Cyprus with more developed countries Cypriots might seem more racist but that is only because those more developed countries have big industries and they need workers for their factories so they are more open to immigrants because immigrants are good for them... especially those countries who have low birth rates and their own population is aging.

racists cannot see that they are racist. you most of all sotostaki. this is so funny. it is only against the terggs is it. was it a terggish man your racist police broke the leg of becasue he refused to show them his id.
here is a fact.

racism comes from ignorance insecurity and below average intelligence. not necessarily all but certainly at least 2 out of three and in your case all three and in plenty measure. back to your cage racist boy

Did I write anywhere that no Cypriots are racists? Your intelligence is so much below average you can't even understand one paragraph  What I said is that Cypriots are not any more or any less racist than others. You give the example of somebody who broke his leg. I can give the example of MILLIONS of people the Turks murdered just because of their race... and most Turks don't even accept that you were wrong for committing genocides! I am not racist at all. The only ones I hate are those who deserve to be hated. Anybody who supports our ethnic cleansing and the stealing of our lands deserves to be hated because such people are racist criminals. It is not my fault that most Turks are such racist criminals that deserve to be hated.

This thread is a result of what I would call, The Foreign Superiority Complex, or FSC for short.

It stems from a systematic learned and perpetuated belief system.
What happens is, the foreigner subconsciously believes that he or she, coming from a far superior and much larger country, ie UK, South Africa, Australia etc, is in a position to dictate, scrutinize and judge collectively the (what they believe to be) tiny, ill informed and backward RoC.

We're also to blame for this mind set that they have.
We've been perpetuating these ideas of 'tiny island' 'weak' 'victim' 'too small' rubbish to absolve ourselves from responsibility and gain sympathy.

Maybe it's different for girls, but I hope you corrected him. It is totally unacceptable for a black person to call us "White", akin to us calling them a "coconut".

ive met some turks and they aren't that bad on a one to one basis, actually they have similarities to Greek/Cypriots...but on the same token I've seen similarities between Greeks/Cypriots and Iranians also..

have big industries and they need workers for their factories so they are more open to immigrants because immigrants are good for them.

racism of immigrants stems from economic downturns, when the economy was booming in Cyprus and elsewhere, these people were welcome with big open arms, right after the recession the blame went on the immigrants...

Cypriots are racists and what is more they also fall in the other category called WHITE SUPREMACY.
Slightly different from racism, I believe Cypriots fall into that category as well and probably many that aren't racist do too.

People in our forum, older and younger are all people who care other more and others less about Cyprus and its future. And I believe in a forum you can find brilliant people who - because they are interested in reading other people's thoughts and writing their own hoping for a change - are a bit more civilized, if it's the right word. Profound. Less cynical. I want to know your opinion and if you think you are racists yourselves.

I, myself do NOT think I am racist - except from the hatred Cypriot education developed in my heart for Turks. So, maybe you could call me a racist.
I admit, I hear Turkey and darken inside, I see their flag and feel 'That is the enemy', did not yet get over that. I am brainwashed indeed.
So, If asked I say I am not a racist BUT.. :!:
However, what I am for sure is a part of White Supremacy which is something I try to subside over the last few years and I am succeeding.
Despite that I may not like Indian culture the way I love Spanish culture, it doesn't mean they are less of people.
I have met some respectable Indian people here in UK - which is full of them.
One of my very good friends calls all brown people Pakistanous, just because she things everyone with that colour is on the same level and should fall in the same category for our own convenience... Because they are all Aloutoi, Mannoi, Kleftes and so on...
People that, yes they are very different from us, but very similar as well..
(You see, humans forget that we have more things in common than our differences)
Us (Cypriots) looking down on many other cultures just because they are different and we are the CIVILIZED (kai kala) ones. The CLEAN ones. Because they smell or do not bath or whatever stories and ASSUMPTIONS we grow our own fictions on how these people are as a nation. People who, in other countries that we would "bend over" to those today like UK, have management positions. All races that we bring over to do"the dirty jobs" for us so that we would pay less labour costs instead of giving jobs to other Cypriots. But no, the Cypriot would not clean windows or look after an old lady. Why do we treat them like slaves? Not like.. Why do we treat them AS Slaves?

Cypriots - THE GLOWING UNMISTAKABLE TENDER PERFECTION???

Yes we are racist!

is there anything wrong with that?

of course there is. you are a stupid dingo asshole. thats whats wrong with it.

And the proof in the pudding folks!

Non racist Lordo who lives in an ethnically cleansed part of Cyprus is judging racist little ole me.

This is evidence that some people are inferior and less intelligent. We need to measure Lordos brain and donate him to science.

in Switzerland, i understand from the coloureds i sat with, that i am a nigger; the black guy sitting next to us is commonly called a schwartze.

...love that story.

once sitting with my London friend from Jamaica, black as coal, i was refused a beer by a French Canadian girl, they do not serve Iranian faggots, he was told (she had no interest in giving me an explanation); obviously, with my looks and the fact that i did not pinch her ass made it clear to her.

i worked in a restaurant with Sri Lankins, three of them set out to hold a knife to my throat because i wore a button on my winter coat that depicted an elephant, but was in support a a museum; luckily for me (and them) they were satisfied with my answer, i was not a supporter of India.

not racism, but sexism; i will always be proud of the fact that in a shipyard which will remain unnamed i broke the code (more than thirty years) against hiring women for work in the yard itself.

i regret to say that as a younger person i had to overcome my own fears, to become a better person.

The "innocent" words of children may not be so "innocent" given the social constructs that surround them.
So the word "White" was not used in a derogatory sense. That is not the point. Would they call their own father "White"? Even if he radiated nur like Mohammad or Christ? Probably not. Until "Black" people are free to refer to themselves as "White" we have no business allowing our identity to be tarnished by such a divisive moniker. Since they are children, ask them to look at you and make up a word for your "colour", if they can truly see auras, you may be surprised.
