he was convicted already stupido. they had everything they needed from their man. instead of continuing with the findings not only did they do nothing for 2 years but they kept the information secret from the rest of the world.

i am not a betting man but it is not beyond the relm of possibilities that the us government themselves bribed the official to win the bid. it has now been established that the bribes go back a long time, the question not answered yet is how far.

old fool keep taking the tablets.

No they didn't stupid fat boy. They were deep into investigation of the entire hierarchy leading straight to their main target man Sep Blatter.

The American is small fry and his revelations unravel a much more sinister tangled web of deceit, corruption and debauchery all the way to the top.

They didn't want to convict him and be done with it. Their aims are much bigger than that.

Revealing too much too soon would jeopardize this investigation and give FIFA warning and an opportunity to cover up. Law enforcement around the world do this regularly. Often, they don't arrest the first drug dealer they can get hold of. Sometimes they arrest them and release them and use them as informants and snitches for lighter sentences because they are after the big fish not the lowly street pusher.
