because the word {claim} means : state or assert that something is the case, typically without providing evidence or proof. As in you claimed that one person lost 45 pounds and the other lost 185 pounds.

I used the word {actual}, which means in the hear and now and existing in fact.

What actually happened is that the person who lost 45 pounds stole 185 pounds from his house mate.
