the land of the free

this makes very interesting reading. man serves 43 years in solitary confinement, he is still being kept in prison despite three courts over turning his conviction as unsafe.

justice indeed.

Yes, it seems that, as of October 2013, the incarceration rate of the United States of America was the highest in the world, at 716 per 100,000 of the national population. Something is not right about that, given the country's wealth.

There is a certain vindictiveness in the US justice system, the most shocking sign of it being the three strikes rule in some states. Three convictions and then you get a huge term, even if the convictions are for relatively minor crimes. There is some confusion too about the role of the penal system, whether it is there to remove dangerous people or to punish. Seems that punishment is more important to them than societal protection.

This is very frightening, disgusting, inhumane ..... but, not surprising.

The land of the free now is Hong Kong or Switzerland. The US now is not a free country, is much like the UK.

...while nine were shot dead in a church, a man committed suicide in jail, in New York State, three years incarcerated, never having seen a judge, never having been formally charged.

sadness, this grief, in the land of the free, some places as countries better to live in, but none, more free; (where is tsuk; maybe he can make sense of things)

Obviously a multicultural country cannot be safe and free.

Too much conflict and unrest caused by Zionist interests in the US & UK...

Bit unfortunate though, I'm rooting for them, they've held up well against their fascist oppressors.
