B25, who is a real patriot, yourself? Your type of attitude will get Cyprus nowhere, waiting for Turkey to implode and expecting to benefit from this somehow is a flawed strategy.

What is the alternative umit?

Accept a Turkish apartheid and that the north of Cyprus belongs to the settlers and Turkey?

At least the true patriots can fly them to Ercan via Turkish Airlines..

WTF  , GC's including yourself have constantly referred to Ercan as an illegal this, illegal that. Now you are promoting Turkish Airlines and encouraging using Ercan as a "selling point" for working there, what has the world come to.

Take it easy B25 before your head explodes.

Just remember a few things. Turkish Airlines is a private company and has as much to do with the Cyprus Problem as QANTAS. The pilots in Cy, Turkey or anywhere else can't influence a thing in the slightest whether they take jobs in Turkey or not. If they don't, someone else will.

Turkish Airlines is not the only company paying good money.

Additionally, the airline is crawling with Greek Pilots, and if you don't believe me, PM me and I will prove it to you and perhaps you can have a chat with a few of my friends who I am sure will not be pleased with your attitude. There are even ex HAF pilots in Turkey working for TA. Go figure!

Further to this, Aviators just want to fly. If possible, for a good and safe operator which pays them handsomely. In Cyprus, there are quite a few who were tossed on the streets. They need work, need to feed their families and have children to educate.

Keep the bullshit out of it.

On another note, I've been following THYAO stock for a while, waiting for a plummet in the Turkish stock market before I buy. I believe Turkish Airlines will rival the Lufthansa Group within the next ten years.

Airline stocks are volatile so be careful.

Yes but Paphitis, private companies don't (shouldnt) fly to occupied Cyprus.

Quantas certainly would not, neither do any of the other respectable airlines that follow international laws and applicable regulations.

Well said paphitis. This sick bastard wants Russia to nuke and kill 80 million innocent people just because they are Turkish. Is this how Christianity works? Not much better than ISIS in my opinion.

Knock it off you hypocrite! :?

It’s all hunky dory when filthy Turkey does everything possible to destroy Syria causing hundreds of thousands of deaths and refugees, including the shameless support of ISIS!

Honestly…

Oh right! So in other words it would make a difference if TA didn't fly to the occupied areas?

I suppose all those Greek and Cy Pilots will have B25s blessing then?

Look at it this way. The Cyprus Problem is in the hands of the negotiators and Cy pilots can only have their say when there is a referendum on the matter.

The RoC Government should have thought through the repercussions before they closed down the National Carrier. Now, it seems all bets are off and I can tell you there are a few considering TA already and have applied.

Is this tax free and if not then how much is the tax? Is it paid in Turkish Lira or US$? Is there exchange control in Turkey? What are the working conditions? Where do "foreign" crew usually fly? What's the contract period?Where are "foreigners" based Ankara or Istambul? And lastly how well are the planes maintained and what are the safety standards?

NB. We only had one plane crash in Cyprus, that of Helios who's captain was a crazy east German. I 'd bet next one in the region will be a Turkish Airliner...

Hark this Turkish cunt, hypocrisy at its best. Who wants all GC destroyed. And fyi, I didn't ask for Russia, any country with a nuke will do as long as you are also one of the 80m that would suit me just fine.
