I never believed us selling gas to Egypt was ever a possibility. And these "finds" have been known for some 50+ years which is why Britain and Turkey are still on our shores.

Egypt doesn't need gas from anyone. They are net producers.

Besides, Cyprus' gas is for European markets - where it's cold!

Well it just goes to show that you don't know very much so best to keep quiet.

Cypriot Gas will be sold to and maybe even to Egypt (unless they are self sufficient) because the Aphrodite Field has been leased to Noble Energy by the Republic of Cyprus and as we already know, the British and Turks have no say in the matter. It is clearly an ongoing concern for the RoC and Noble Energy.

Britain will do nothing. If Turkey misbehaves, they will have to deal with the USA which can turn their world upside down.

Whether they knew about it or not (and they didn't) makes no difference now.

Yes it will. Netanyahu (our good mate) was in Cyprus on a State Visit only a few days ago and he told the RoC President that no matter how expensive, the pipeline from the Israeli Gas Fields to the Cyprus Gas Fields then through Greece to Western Europe is his preferred option.

Oh and btw, there are future plans that another pipeline will come from Russia through the Ukraine, Balkans and hook up with the Israeli and Cypriot Pipeline.
