A humanitarian tragedy is unfolding as thousands of refugees or economic/ illegal / migrants from mostly the ME and mostly Muslims are risking their lives in order to reach the green pastures of Germany, Austria, Britain, Sweden and other European nations.

The Hungarians are standing firm against these impoverished human beings claiming that genuine refugees should apply for asylum in the first country they set foot in. They also state that Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iran, Abu Dhabi should be the countries that these refugees should be heading too, all these countries reasonably stable and safe.

It is a human tragedy that Europe must deal with, some countries particularly Germany have expressed their willingness to take refugees, however the question is are these migrants or refugees.

You have to be desperate to pay human traffickers to cram you on an inflatable boat and risk your life paddling to Europe.

What I hear in the media is that this is a migration crisis. There may be some genuine refugees seeking asylum amongst these people. There may be some terrorists amongst them too. There may also be many illegal immigrants thinking they have a right but at the moment, we don't know. They haven't been processed, but many will probably not have any paper work.

In my opinion, on a whole, this is like an invasion.

This crisis is certainly unprecedented and shows us that Europe cant secure its borders and is not willing to deter people from overrunning the place. Europe also does not have a cohesive policy to deal with it, some countries are welcoming them, others are going to build fences to secure their own. There is nothing controlled about this and I see a catastrophe happening either in the near future or as a result of longer term ramifications of trying to integrate too much oil with water.

Lets not forget that unemployment is high, European economies are struggling, people are already stressed and uncertain about their future and have doubts about the EU project.

What I think is for sure though is that Europe is and will be changing, and this crisis is going to be costly. This is for sure.
