I have been watching this story, too, but so far this comment has only been attributed to 'two unnamed American officials', and both the Iranians and Russians are denying it. I am not saying it isn't true, but I am looking for some kind of independent confirmation before I become fully convinced. However, it does cast doubt on Russian claims to be aiming at specific targets in Syria. There are reports on Raqqa is Being Slaughtered Silently of indiscriminate bombing of the city with mainly innocent citizens suffering.

Well it looks like there won't be anymore cruise missile launches as a "show of strength". They won't be doing that until they sort the "technical issues" so they don't make complete dorks of themselves.

There are reports within Iran from eyewitnesses claiming to see the missiles fall, some not too far from populated areas. Iran of course has officially denied everything,

The following news report in Azeri supposedly shows the damage caused by one of the Russian missiles to a village in the Azeri-speaking region of Iran. There are pictures. Drat! It is Azeri in the Arabic script. If it had been in the Roman or Cyrillic scripts, I would have been able to make sense of it.

In fact one American idiot had even gone as far as claiming that the missiles had strayed and hit a hospital in Afghanistan! Thinking that he had hit two birds with one stone, a friend had to remind him that the two incidents were a day apart! That's how daft Americans are!
