National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces

The National Coalition has already received diplomatic recognition from over 90 countries (Greece and Cyprus among them), as the true dejure and authority of the Syrian Republic!

It's time Russia follow International Law and norms and withdraw their forces from Syria and for the Rebel Assad Forces to lay down their weapons at once! +++

Those whop wish to donate money to the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces please visit their official website at:

http://en.etilaf.org/

It's actually a very good and informative website. Very professionally done by the dejure Government of Syria!

I am thinking about making a small donation which will hopefully be enough to provide one of their guys with a helmet. If we all pitch in a together, maybe we can raise enough to purchase some Kevlar Body Armour. If you don't want to donate, then you can simply just sign the petition. :D

C'mon people, it's nearly Christmas and we Cypriots know what it is like for our country to be illegally occupied.

Doctors Without Borders: 35 Killed In Airstrikes On Syria Hospitals

A “significant increase” of air strikes on Syrian hospitals recently has killed at least 35 patients and medical staff and wounded 72, Doctors Without Borders (MSF) said on Thursday.

The escalation of attacks by Russia’s air forces, which began in late September, had targeted 12 hospitals in Idlib, Aleppo and Hama provinces, including six supported by MSF, a statement said.

“Overall, six hospitals were forced to close... and four ambulances destroyed,” said the international medical aid group.

“One hospital has since reopened, yet access to emergency, maternity, pediatric and primary health care services remains severely disrupted.”

The statement said “tens of thousands of people have been forced to flee their homes” as a result of the attacks.

Earlier today, the Russian air force struck the only operating field hospital in the town of Douma in rural Damascus, killing 10 people and injuring dozens more.

Dr. Jawad Abu Hatab, a cardiologist based inside Syria and member of the Syrian Coalition, and said that in many cases they were forced to evacuate the hospital as a result of the Russian airstrikes.

He added that he faces great difficulties in completing surgical operations while the Russian air raids harvest the lives of civilians in the region.

Hospitals and medical organizations have declared a state of emergency after Russian fighter jets targeted the hospitals of Al-Yamdiya, Al-Ikhlas, and Al-Birnas in rural Latakia. They also directly targeted Al-Lataminah hospital in rural Hama, injuring medical staff and patients. Earlier, a vaccination center in the town of Al-Taman’a in rural Idlib was also hit in airstrikes by Russian air forces.”

Member of the General Assembly and head of Aleppo provincial council Osama Taljo calls on the UN Security Council, the United Nations and the World Health Organization to urgently intervene to stop Russia’s targeting of hospitals and medical personnel.

He pointed out that all hospitals in southern rural Aleppo were forced to close down after being targeted by the Russian airstrikes, warning of imminent disaster in the area. (Source: Syrian Coalition)

Russian Airstrikes Kill 30 Civilians Across Syria

Up to 30 civilians were killed and dozens wounded in Russian airstrikes across Syria yesterday.

Russian warplanes hit the town of Al-Lataminah in rural Hama, killing 12 civilians in conjunction with artillery bombardment by regime forces on rebel-held town.

The Russian air force committed another massacre in rural Aleppo where nine civilians were killed and dozens wounded in the town of Haritan, while one civilian was killed and six more wounded, including two civil defense workers, in a Russian airstrike on the town of Hayan in rural Aleppo yesterday.

Moreover, 12 civilians, including seven children were killed and 15 wounded in similar attack on the village of Tal Hadiya in southern rural Aleppo, while two civilians were killed and three wounded in the nearby village of Al-Bawabiya.

In a statement released yesterday, the Syrian Coalition stresses that “Russia’s clear war strategy on Syria has been to primarily target, kill, and displace civilians since day one. As of October 26, the Russian occupation airstrikes have killed 1,511 civilians, including women and children. They've also destroyed 12 hospitals and medical centers, as well as schools, places of worship, service institutions and archaeological sites.”

“This data, supported by field reports and documented by the Syrian Network for Human Rights, local activists, and the Syrian Committee for Human Rights, confirm that Russian bombardment amounts to war crimes and crimes against humanity. The international community and the UN Security Council must strongly condemns these attacks. Urgent action must also be taken to stop further Russian aggression and to hold the perpetrators accountable.”

The Syrian Coalition also states that “the military strategy of Russian invaders is further complicating the military scene in Syria and opens the door wide for expanding and spreading terrorism, thus undermining any future political solution.” (Source: Syrian Coalition)

Wasn't it just a week ago that the U.S.A bomb a hospital in Afghanistan?

Spare us the cornflakes.

Yes, the difference is that the USA owned up to it, said it was a major cock up, apologized and is offering the families compensation.

Russia, is deliberately targeting any hospitals in rebel controlled areas, denies all responsibility just like it denies all responsibility over MH17.

So who is better? USA or Russia?

No matter how you guys cut it, the USA is something like ten times a better international citizen than Russia under Pootin (which is not an exceptionally difficult challenge I must admit).

Here you go (Halal approved cornflakes):

The good thing about American food is that every single cardboard food they offer you is enrinched with vitamins and minerals.

Yes but that brand is a Halal approved version.

The proceeds from the Halal certification are sent to help fund the National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces. So please go to your nearest Aldi, and get yourself a nice box of Halal certified Kellogs Corn Flakes! :D

The Americans accidentally bombed a hospital in Afghanistan and this legitimises the Assad dictatorship in Syria? Sorry, but your logic escapes me.
