Surprise for a birthday

Hiring a singer

Hello
In the middle of December 2015,my friend will have a birthday and we want to make him a surprise and invite someone to sing.
The event will happen in the restourant(his restourant) in Paphos.
We dont have any special requirements or songs to performs...................the most important is the singer to be positive person and to create positive atmosphere and everyone to enjoy the party,to smile,to laugh,to sing.................to become a good party.
If we are pleased with him,we will invite him back to sing on regular base.
1)Can you recommend me someone and where i can find a singer-from internet,newspapers,agencies.................?
2)What are the typical fees for this ?
Thanks in advance

Are you sure? You are OK with anything? From traditional Cypriot songs to heavy metal? And is that singer going to perform on his own ... without a band? Is it going to be like Karaoke... he will be singing on top of some recording? Or maybe he will need to play his own guitar or something? I think you need to think a bit more about what exactly you want first. Or maybe this Maronite folk singer would be OK for your party:

Yes Sotos, you are right-heavy metal or traditional Thai songs will be not suitable :)
So music can be pop music and traditinal Cyprus/Greek will be suitable.
But most important-i want the singer to be positive,to know how to give to the people good enterteiment and to engage them in this.............and everyone to enjoy and remember this party............................not someone that have a talent and skills to sing..............but performs and choose songs that are very boring and you can sleep, when you listen to him.

You put Jade's father through a noise reducer and you get an explanation

I would suggest to go to bars in Paphos that have live music and ask for contacts.

One of our regulars on the forum was a great singer (Crooner) while playing the piano at Paphos hotels etc, but he died a couple of years ago due to health problems.
