Cyprus....a regional superpower

Postby DT. » Wed Dec 02, 2015 10:42 am

From my office window in Nicosia in the last 30 days I've watched the Foreign Minister of Germany, the UK and today the Russian FM pass from under my window. Tomorrow John Kerry is passing by. In Jan and Feb we will have the pleasure of hosting Merkel and Putin (tbc).

I wonder which other street in the globe gets such a high influx of foreign leaders rushing to discuss with the Government after every global crisis.

Don't spill your Kellogs thinking about it. They just want to ask us whose protectorate we prefer to be.

If that's so we're in a better position than most. At least we're asked.

Cyprus has become the poudelo of the Med. We accept anyone, anytime, without gaining anything for ourselves, but to hand over what they want. Time we had some politicians with some balls.

Oh, and DT my friend, they are not here because they love us, they are here to F us in some way. Perhaps even a gang bank, we would accept gracefully!

Yes, all very good, but do you have a shop that sells Manolo Blahnik shoes in your street? 8)
