Precisely. He has gone bankrupt six times which makes me ask what proportion of his billions comes from simply bilking creditors.

Correction Tim. Trump was never declared bankrupt. Companies that he controlled were but not him.

If a company owned by him went bankrupt, then he bilked that company's creditors in proportion to his ownership of that company.

Tim, a Limited or PLC company does not have owners, it has directors and shareholders and has, the company, its own legal entity distinct from that of its directors or shareholders, in law that is.

I think we are splitting hairs here somewhat. As far as I know, shares confer ownership in the company. After all 'owners' equity' and 'shareholders' equity' are synonymous terms. If one person holds 100% of the shares in a company, he or she is said to own the company. If somebody holds 50% of the shares of a company, they are said to own half of the company. Yes, a company by its nature has a separate legal identity, but it has owners.
The fact remains that, if Charlie and Harry set up a company with half of the capital each, use fraudulent means to strip assets out of the company and then declare it bankrupt, they will through what is known as 'hiding behind the veil of incorporation' each be 50% responsible for bilking the company's creditors.
I can understand why enemies of the West such as Putin are overjoyed at seeing a crooked shyster installed in the White House, but it beats me why anybody who supports the West is.

thats becasue perhaps he is one too?

although the directors as individuals are not personaly responsible for the company debts, there are many instances where their actions are so wrong that a court can hold them responsible and have done in many cases.

This is why Philip Green did not declare bankrupt but instead sold the company to an asshole who had no idea what he was buying.

of course if the directors borrow money from banks, the banks will not lend monet to a company unless the directors give personal guarantees too.

but you cannot talk to the old batchoyeor about fiance, he just sells pans

Absolutely, that is where the doctrine of 'piercing the veil of incorporation' comes in, but, of course, as we all know the law is heavily skewed in favour of those who are rich and powerful and can hire the best lawyers, so if you are already a billionaire celebrity the odds are strongly weighted in your favour and you can easily cheat people and get away with it, if you are so minded.

The Rothschilds have been doing that for well over 200 years and THEY now rule the World! So there is hope for Donald yet!

Rothschild family wealth is five times that of world’s top 8 billionaires combined.

The Rothschild's could pay the current Israeli defence budget awarded them by the US at something around $2.5bn a year .......... for the next 800 years! They own the Banks, they own the Media, they own the major industrial conglomerates, they own the arms industry, they own Pharmaceuticals, the own the energy industry ............. they own many Governments ...... in fact they own just about everything!

Lets see if Donald can change all that and bankrupt them? :D

Saw the following comment on another forum re; Trump .........
(T)he inexorable, spiteful and bitter campaign against him, in what is only his first few days as POTUS reminds me very much of the bile that was directed at Reagan.

Perhaps we should give the man a little grace?

It also strikes me as very much like the incessant carping about the majority vote to leave the EU. Same people.
Could not agree more with that very valid comment.

I just watched Steven Sackur (HardTalk – BBC) interviewing Peskov (Putins spokesman) in the most cringeworthy interview I have seen yet seen on BBC. I know Sackur is very anti-Russian, his loaded questions always make that clear, but his questioning of Peskov was an insult to the man’s patience and intelligence with what was an obviously very biased interviewer. Peskov remained perfectly calm and gave excellent replies which made Sackur look a bit stupid.

Yesterday, again on BBC I watched an anchor man interview a very polite young lady on why she supported Trump. Again she also tried to reply to the questions politely with her views but the interviewer would have none of it ..... all he wanted to talk about were attendance figures for Trumps inauguration and all the lies Trump was telling about them ........ the lady to her credit, kept her cool.

The BBC has changed!
It used to be the news source you could rely upon to be impartial but of late it is mimicking the views of the US MSM news channels. IMO: There is a concerted effort underway to bring Trump down by any means possible and the same applies to Putin. Just to think there were people that laughed at the idea there was a ‘NWO’? (by whatever name) I see what is now happening in the UK. US and Europe, as a ground swell of The People turning on this very small but powerful Elite group who are now desperately trying to hang on to power.

One big mistake Trump seems to have made (IMO) is his decision to move the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem. Silly move ...... it has stirred up a hornet’s nest in many ME countries. Was it REALLY necessary to make that a priority? It could come back to bite him!

As for “....incessant carping about the majority vote to leave the EU. Same people.” .... say no more, like the current US situation, democracy is OK provided it works in their favour! Another interview .... on RT ..... where the young lady reporter was asking those in the Hillary supporter belts on West and East coasts, why they were so opposed to Trump ? Every reply included one ..... we are better educated ..... we are more intelligent ..... ...... they are mainly lower class labourers ...... we are professionals. ‘Remainer's’ replies to a tee, as we can see on here!
