MrH, nobody in the world would gain anything from recognizing the pseudo state. Not even Turkey truly wants an official recognition of the pseudo state because that could reduce the TC dependence on Turkey and would spoil Turkey's plan of controlling the whole of Cyprus with a BBF arrangement.

Mr H, it is a universally accepted principle that "states" created by armed force are not recognised, it's actually in the UN Charter if you care to read it. You probably don't realise it but the the world has moved on since the old Ottoman days. If Israel cannot gain recognition of its West Bank conquest what chance does the "trnc" have?

No chance at all. The only way the "trnc" can exist is as puppet state of Turkey.

"a Negotiated partition "

Negotiate with who? The RoC is the only legalising entity in this case.

The rights of the land owners are not affected by such deals. You will have to deal with them too. Good luck on that.

And finally, ask Turkey if she wants an independent TC state, which it does not. You guys need to read Ecevit's analyses and a book by Davut titled "Strategic Depth".

In France do they use the same name? KONSEY, it would be funny if they did. One of those advertising coincidences like the Swedish Kavli crackers, they are a great success in Greece.

No names of countries who have given these assurances?

if the TC leadership keep doing what they have always done they will keep getting what they have always gotten. Which includes more and more TC leaving Cyprus.

If the tc leadership or turkey cant do it konsey definately cant do it. Wtf are konsey?

Maximus,

Here's a link showing the "Konsey" heads of UK.

http://adalife.co.uk/konsey-resimi-kurumlari-ziyaret-etti.html#

Maximus, there's a reason why the TRNC still exists after so many years of so called "not being recognised", and it's not because of Turkey, but because how collective and strong our people and statehood is represented internationally.

Trust me when I tell you that we have more sympathisers on our side than the Greek Cypriots could ever dream of.

Remember that although it looks like Britain is on your side, in real terms it's more of the opposite. The latest Anti EOKA erected statue in gurney should have given that away. The British will never forget the theirs citizens whom were killed between 1955-60, and will never forget the Greek Cypriot terrorising tactics which led to the forced 1960 scenario. The British never wanted to give Cyprus away, as much as British will never now give up its bases, or allow complete Greek Cypriot control of the entire island.

Go figure!

It is because the US/UK is doing to the GCs what it is currently doing in Syria and had done in Afghanistan and Iraq. Nothing to do with what influence you think you have, it is because the US/UK wants it this way.

May they all rot in hell, even at this time of the year I'm saddened to say.
