I don't think so... Its funny if it means something funny in your language. But in this case it is funny only to English Cypriots. Cypriots in Cyprus say "Kolo" and not "Golo" to mean ass... so his name doesn't sound that funny to me... it sounds more related to the word Goal, which seems fitting for a football player!
