Truth distortion - a poll

Postby erolz66 » Sat Jan 30, 2016 6:07 pm

Who, in your honest opinion, from the above two cyprus-forum posters, is more inclined to distort, deny, twist, manipulate or exaggerate objective truth in their posts here to suit their own personal agenda ?

TRUTH? This word relates to facts not opinion. An opinion is just that, your opinion. When you reinforce your opinion with supposed facts ..... then you need a link to the source of the information you use and that source may be telling lies or distorting facts. If you do not link anything .... then it is merely an opinion, so truth does not come into it. Ask me if either of you are 'biased' ...... then IMO yes, ....... both of you are! We all are, but some of us back opinion with viable sources of information/opinion.?

Have a good evening. :)

Oh dear - hot from another exposure for creating lies and failing to find evidence, you have to run for solace into the arms of the many male posters that hate to see a man cry!

Checkmate! :P

So if I may be so bold as to ask, in your opinion

if someone were to describe a source as being from a 'discussion site' and that source was in fact an official EU Commission press release from the official EU Commission website, would the person describing it at such be expressing their own possibly biased opinion or would they be distorting actual truth to suit their agenda ?

WHY have you not managed to find the quote to support your claim that the EU Commission has issued threats for sanctions against Greece?

Why do you have to go round the houses when the truth should be simple?

Because you lied and then you have been distorting to hide your lie and now you think you can garner support from people who couldn't care less as they never follow your long-winded twists for getting out of your lies!

Do you really expect to get a reliable poll from a forum that has a certain number of misogynists and another certain number of phallocrats? :o

I did not vote because I consider GIC a clever woman of some standard, and yourself of equal respectable standard.

I will not vote either.. but since it got personal I will say my opinion about you two :P I'd say that GiG must be the most biased member of the forum and her "Greeks are so great" posts are annoying. Erolz has the tendency to miss the forest for the trees and can often stubbornly concentrate on insignificant details while ignoring the big picture. No offense to either of you ;)

Do these viable sources of information include outlets like RT, Smirnoff, The Clearing House and other extreme left wing anti american conspiracy promoting sites you seem to gravitate to?

Just as an aside, I have not voted in this poll as both posters are inclined to distort, deny, twist, manipulate and exaggerate.

"G"IG does this with anything related to Greece and Erolz does it when posting propaganda against The Republic of Cyprus.

They have as much validity as your sources, which you rarely quote but are obviously main stream media, clearly right wing .... even extreme right wing God bless America sites .... and anti-Putin/anti-Russian conspiracy propaganda web sites.

No matter the source you have to use common sense. For instance: To just accept verbatim what the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says about events in Syria, is a folly. Check him out! (He is a one-man-band known to be extreme anti Assad and has been caught out many times 'massaging' his reports)
