Why being wrong really hurts

Stumbled across this and found it of interest myself and thought others might find it of interest too. Certainly I can see some aspects of my own behaviour explainable in terms that the article lays out.

It must be a male thing.

For me, it only hurts if I do wrong to others.

Have you ever admitted, in the 8 or so years you have posted here, to being wrong ? Even once ?

I tend not to post stuff if it's wrong.

But I have made errors and then admitted them - I recall using the ..... ... a few times. :P

May I suggest that perhaps you could be less bombastic, egotistical and arrogant and then it won't hurt when you realise you are wrong? :D

Please do feel free to give an actual example.

and in any of those posts can you find a single example of where GiG had "made errors and then admitted them" ?

On a quick scan I can not. I found one that it might be possible to claim was an 'admission of error' at a pinch - this one "http://www.cyprus-forum.com/cyprus35245-40.html?hilit=#p763432" and that is it. Maybe there is real world actual evidence where GiG has admitted she was wrong on this forum, but to date I have not been made aware of any other than that single one above - which is a stretch imo at best.
