Good job Apoel promo team.

From a population of 50 million people, surely...
Never mind.... I'll just leave this here for the lemmings to indulge in.

Check out the new AEK Arena... almost done, but I notice the pitch hasn't been marked yet.

Two gift penalties for Young Boys and a denial of APOEL's genuine penalty (Bertoglio) seal this match's result!

It all went downhill after Merkis came on...

:? It troubles me greatly that we looked terrible for most of the 90 minutes, against all but one (Astana) of our last four opponents including…

Copenhagen, Olympiakos, and Young Boys.

It appears that these three are a level above APOEL and I would rate these three as 3rd division European football material so I’ll have to relegate APOEL to the 4th, but I guess I shouldn’t be complaining too much because it wasn’t too long ago (10 years?) when we were in the 6th division… we shouldn’t forget!

Still though, I like to believe that we can compete with such teams if only we make wiser decisions when purchasing new players. For example, Bertoglio has in my view turned out to be a total flop (what a weakling!) as have many other players like Bressan.

It seems that we are spending the money but we’re just not getting the quality and that’s a major worry. :(

I think our teams buy too many foreign players, instead of spending the money to buy fewer but of higher quality. Sure APOEL doesn't need 20 foreign players...

You cannot expect much from players from the Spanish or the Portuguese second divisions, or the Belarussian league (Bressan).
