hey dude listen
im in aus, and i have imported a car to cy a few times.
ok the law they have limits car to be 5 years old or newer, BUT
if its a private "personal import" your allowed to bring it in.
BUT BE WARNED. you need to pay tax on it and they go by the engine size
and when the engine is big eg 5.0 you pay big man.
thats why when i come there later in the year im bringing a mazda rx8
which is only a 1.3 (love the rotor ) hehehe
AND ALSO
by saying its suped up,i know what ya mean. stuff like 20s and superchargers , which are all cool, BUT ARE A BIG PROBLEM. you
see the stupid government has targeted all modified rides blaming them on the road toll, so if you have a modded ride it will probably be confiscated because its "not standard" the funny thing is is they dont even set up any regulations allowing for any mods to your ride, its so stupid
hope that helps |

That would be over 40,000 pounds including VAT @15%, in addition there is a registration fee of 1591 pounds.

Im in Melbourne and thinking of taking my 2000 BMW 540 4.4 v8 to Cyprus.
I was born there but lived my whole life in Aus. Moving back permanently is on the cards and i want to take it .
Any advice ,info, costs would be greatly appreciated.

Lana I think he would I think because he was born in Cyprus.
I think it may not be viable to bring the 750i. Especially if you have to convert it to Right Hand drive. Isn't that $10,000 on its own, must be more for a BMW.
Maybe you can take the parts you want off you existing car and then modify a BMW in Cyprus.
I know it is alot cheaper to bring a car over in parts and then reassemble it. |

Modifying cars is, I believe illegal in Cyprus, but no doubt only 1% of 'hotrodders' get caught!
Personally, I wish people would modify their driving first!
