The photo was taken in 1964 at limassol, by british War Photographer Don McCullin.

Here how he labels the photo "Turkish woman, with her son, learning of the death of her husband killed by Greek militia, Gaziveren, Cyprus, 1964"

max no one will deny that. But what you said was that the photos were of GC crimes portrayed as Turkish crimes in the media. Again I ask where is evidence of this.

As milti said no one will argue that atrocities occurred on both sides, but you started the thread by proclaiming that these were photographs of GC atrocities portrayed as Turkish atrocities by the media

You still have given no proof

I really think I am wasting time here unless you can come up with evidence then you will be seen as a bit of a dork

what more evidence do you need, you have the photos. you also have a legally recognised government that has not only not prosecuted any of the murderers, they have not even attemted to investigate. even worse they gave them jobs in the civil service. if its evidence you are looking for perhaps ask the procecution service to see how much they have investigated.

richard baby you are just like the rest an asshole.

Hi Lordo I am not doubting the existence of the photos what I am doubting is mistermax's statement that they were used by GCs to portray Turkish atrocities

i can vouch for that. in the 70s i was told by a gc friend that they were gcs killed by the terggs and the tergs put star and crescent on their necks to make them look tc. my friend lived in london at the time so that information could have only have come from the media at the time.

surely max is not the only gcs who remembers the lies printed by gc media.

infact gc media covered these murders for decades till recently. they even pulled a show off air when kizilyurek mentioned them. you boys have been in denial for a very long time.

Viewpoint has made the same accusations as this guy. He makes some similar basic grammatical errors.

Why the need to pretend he's a Greek?

I don't need to change my id to make a point - the *name* is irrelevant (YFred) - I always let people know when I've had to have a name change.

This is what's confusing me Lordo. Max is telling us that they are TCs killed by GCs and used by GCs to portray propaganda and you are telling me the opposite that they were gcs killed by turks and made to look like turks who were killed by GCs by putting the star and crescent on their necks
