God that religious people follow blindly , yet the same god that ...apparently created every living thing resorts to such utter cruelty, read the following :
God told Abraham that Abraham would be a father of many nations and that his wife Sarah would bear him a child even though they were very old. Indeed, Sarah was 90, and Abraham was around 100 when Isaac was finally born to them. Then God told Abraham to do the unthinkable, to kill Isaac (Genesis 22:1-19). Upon receiving the order, Abraham did not question God. He “blindly” followed God’s orders and traveled quite a distance to a mountain with the intention of killing his son. In the end, God stopped him and said, “Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son” (Genesis 22:12).

Abraham also knew that God was his own father... why not trust Him?

I have yet to encounter a theologian that could explain the horrific murders as described in the fairy tales of Exodus. All fucking scared, just as you are in challenging the virus that afflicts religious people.

My mum used to scare me to go to bed and she would do this by saying dragons will come and take me away and it bloody worked, I used to shit myself and be on my best behaviour to keep the dragons away. That was when I was about 5, I have since grown up and I'd like to think grown wiser. There is NOTHING on earth that can convince me there is a god.

Most of religion is indeed a con but that’s no excuse for assuming that any of these con artists represent God and therefore there is no God!

M, for someone who hardly went to school I am very proud of my achievements. If I had your education and your brains my achievements would have been 10 fold. Listen plonker, most of my family are religious, I respect their views and they respect mine. God was invented in the dark ages by man . There is not one iota of scientific evidence as to the existence of a creator. I dread to think what you would do if you had the power, maybe kill all first, second and third born!!
