And what does an environment provide if not food, water, and mating/nesting grounds? :)

So given the excruciatingly slow speed of evolution, how can evolution be responsible for saving *any* species from a “bad environment” when the basic needs of an endangered species are immediate?

I think we’ve just crapped all over the fundamentals of evolution from the very first question!

you cant be real, man....

unless you are 5 yo or something like that...

I can go along with that… now can you answer a 5 year old’s question?

it is textbook knowledge man, not all members of one specie evolve, at the same time or same direction. You don't know the basics. Search google for darwin 4 kids or Darwin for dummies.

it does not claim to save species, it says that those best suited to adapt survive and those who do not, do not. there has been lots of species that have gone extinct in the past. alligators and snakes are from pre-history and still survive to this day, so are birds for that matter. you really need to get out and about a bit more. so are some species that live in the sea. some survived and others become extinct. the environment determines who does and who does not dear boy

You are contradicting yourself. You claimed that some monkeys evolved into humans because they found themselves in a bad environment but when I reminded that evolution could not have possibly saved them because it’s too slow you then say that’s not what evolution is for!

So why then did some monkeys evolve into humans while others got left behind and they're still hanging in trees?

So WHY should *any* species or portion of a species evolve? Give me the reason.

It's obviously NOT because a species is in danger because evolution is not fast enough to save them... so what's the point of it?

nope I did not claim nor does darwin claim that humans evolved from monkeys. in the same way a lion, a cheetah and a leopard and even our own pussycat are all cats but they did not evolve from each other. they have a common ancestor which is what we have with the monkeys and gorillas, a common ancestor. your understanding of humans evolving from monkeys was the same as what the church understood of darwinism back in darwins days. they were wrong then and you are wrong now.

i said humans moved away from the forests and they evolved because of their environment. for instance all apes walk on all fours and humans walk on two legs. apes have hands at the end of their legs and humans evolved feet. that is evolution.
ironically the cheetah does not even look like a cat but a cat is what it is.

look into why some finches evolved a different beak when they ended up on islands with different food source. that is evolution. There are now at least 13 species of finches on the Galapagos Islands, each filling a different niche on different islands. All of them evolved from one ancestral species, which colonised the islands only a few million years ago.

Species evolve because of mutation. They might evolve in different direction and after a sudden change in climate, a lot (probable common ancestor as well) will extinct.

Do you homework.
