"Radical British cleric Anjem Choudary convicted of supporting ISIS "

It took 20 years for Britain to take action against this fanatic who regularly pronounced to his sick followers that London, New York, Moscow and basically the entire world would be governed by sharia law adding that he wants to turn Buckingham Palace into a Mosque !!!! This country has provided these sick brainwashed individuals with a lifestyle enjoyed by millions, not enough though for these virus infected zombies, they want to turn Britain and the world into a medieval dark ages world.

Some on this forum also support Isis, they ought to take notice of this verdict.

A statement by the Muslim Council of Britain condemning this hate preacher.

"Miqdaad Versi, of the Muslim Council of Britain, said on Tuesday: “Mr Anjem Choudary has long been condemned by Muslim organisations and Muslims across the country, who consider him and his support for Daesh [Isis] to be despicable and contrary to the values of Islam and our nation. Many Muslims have long been puzzled why this man was regularly approached by the media to give outrageous statements that inflamed Islamophobia. We hope the judgment serves as a lesson for anyone who follows this path of advocating hate and division.”

I applaud the statement and knowing a huge number of Muslims here in the UK I know that they too share this view.

not at all max. what he does is not free speech, he says he will convert uk to sharia law and of course it is not by any democratic way so he can go to hell like the rest of his buddies daesh who were started by the yanks. in fact the yanks can join them there too for starting daesh in the first place.

yanks out of the middle east. only then will we have peace.

Well, I do not have any real respect for the lunatics of ISIS but the way to fight them is not by locking up clerics. Words shouldn't be punished, someone should get punished if he/she acts against someone else. I am not affraid of hate speech, I am afraid of the goverment telling us what to say (or not to say)

ps-immigration of western soldiers and oil companies to middle east must end yesterday.

On the other hand, his words at least indirectly convinced hundreds of mentally unbalanced young people to join the ranks of the useful idiots believing themselves to be engaging in 'jihad' in an odious organisation that commits acts of genocide and inhuman acts like selling Yazidi babies in marketplaces to any pervert willing to part with a few hundred dollars.

That is not his fault. Idiots or not, mentally unbalanced or not, it is their own free will that send them to middle east.
