That seems to be another Trump back flip.

Or an indication of how much they value Australia.

And you think Australia is going to have a hissy fit if Trumpey starts being friendly to Pootin. Australia won't be the only one either.

Trump will do as he is told. He will be told behind closed doors to avoid any embarrassment!

Trump needs Australia, Japan, and the EU!

Oh btw, all illegal immigrants are also fingerprinted and have retina scans. When they go to USA and gain US Citizenship down the track, they are still banned from entry into Australia forever, despite the US citizenship and Custom union with USA.

It takes balls to do this.

Are you for real? What the hell are all those asylum seekers that landed in Greece, Italy etc. doing in bloody Calais ? Are you suggesting Greece and Italy are NOT safe havens. Use some common sense.

What Australia does, and I speak with some authority, is that it intercepts any boats using naval and customs vessels, turns them back before they enter Australian waters and sends them to poor countries like Nauru, and PNG where they have set up detention centers and tells them to seek asylum there. In return, Australia sends millions in aid.

You always speak with Authority but never say what Authority. An Aboriginal witch doctor, casting the bones, cannot be considered an 'authority'. That punches a hole in your claims of concern for humanity. At least the EU picks them up just of the North African coast and takes them to Europe rather than letting them drown. Obviously this does not bother Australians?

There are people who have been in prison for 3.5 years.

These are as a matter of fact gross violations against the UNHRC provisions.

As I said, this obviously does not bother Australians? International Law is for every one else ..... you have learned quickly from your US master!

Australia also pays the refugees off at $10,000 per person to leave and seek asylum elsewhere. The Policy is that Australia will never accept any illegal immigrants who violate Australian borders whether Syrian or not. Australia has embassies and consulates where people can apply via the appropriate channels.

Blood money, to ease the Australian conscience.

And as a matter of fact, Australia has managed to convince Trump to take them off Australia's books. Good one eh!

At least he shows some concern for their plight ..... where is he putting them .... in the Guantanamo Bay holiday village in Cuba?

Yes I am for real. Not only am I for real but it is the commonly held positions of some very serious strategists.

The regime isn't in any position to be maintaining security. The minute their forces have to leave Aleppo to head for Palmyra, will result in renewed fighting in Aleppo.

Meanwhile, Israel has bombed Damascus and surrounding towns too.

So tell me. How do they plan to defeat all the rebels? They can't!

In the meantime, they will be plenty busy enough for the coalition to grab as much land, oil and gas as is possible. Then what? Is the regime going to attack the Coalition, Kurds, DAESH, 50 militias and Israel?

Everyone wants to kill Assad. I mean everyone!

Coalition is probably the least of the war criminal's worries.

Meanwhile, Trumpey just told China that he doesn't believe in the One China policy.

Awe! Poor China!

At last a US President who is going to give the Chinese a major FU as well as start a trade war.

I mean how dare they protest that Trump accept a phone call by the Taiwanese President when the US supplies all of Taiwan's arms.

China, get it through your thick heads. Taiwan doesn't want to be a part of your Nike Sneaker and Apple Mac (American sponsored) sweatshop!

Friggin Apple and Nike jobs belong to America.

Trump should punish these companies like he said. Stupid corporations wanting to max out their profits and still rip off the consumer.

Apple sell useless and gimmick watches for a pay packet and then release a new update 12 months later making the d stuff obsolete and they release updates which slows down all the processors to force consumers to upgrade.

It's a friggin rort but I think Trump is going to rock the foundations of these corporate thugs and hold them to account with increased taxes, and even tattoos.

At last!

People need to understand that a lot of what Trump is saying makes a lot of sense. Wake up people!!

Trump to inherit state-run TV network with expanded reach

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/d ... ica-232442

...no more VOA. In an effort to "streamline", the news will no longer be parsed; direct from the President, like in Russia, instead.

Please explain why he talks shite. I for one am beginning to believe Trump may prove all his critics wrong and achieve far more than most presidents of the past. But of course I'm more interested in knowing why Pahpidis is talking "shite".

Take a look at his posts. Most that post on here, express their opinion and maybe links to some interesting sources that back them up or give other complimentary opinions. The only thing anyone that posts on here can possibly have is an opinion. None of us could possibly have the detailed and in depth information Paphitis seems to get from his highly placed sources to make his grand pronouncements ..... sources he obviously can't name for reasons of National Security.

He talks in first person plural, as if he is Trumps right hand man. The only thing that could get THATclose to Trump ..... would be toilet paper!  You work it out.

As for Trump .... you could be right but I am getting funny feelings about some of his choices for his administration. They seem at odds with his campaign rhetoric. Something Paphitis frequently refers to is The Deep State, the ghosts behind the scenes that REALLY pull the strings! Looks like Trump is on a collision course with some of them particularly in the CIA over the Presidential election, Russian hacking conspiracy theory? 'They' killed JFK for less! :?
