I do not see this as either an attack on his person or in any way derogatory, more so that if by any chance someone shares his warped views one can eaily vote Yes. I do not see what all the fuss is about.
I do not share his views, neither does anyone else interacting with Paphitis on the appropriate thread. What is the big issue.

I voted, as I said I invariably disagree with him and anyone who follows these exchanges would be well aware of the simple fact that, I find very little common ground with Paphitis but, to me a POLL is a 'LIKE' and I don't like 'LIKES' .

Robin, though I have yet to meet Paphitis I have had the pleasure of talking on the phone with him and exchanging photos. He is a thoroughly nice guy and would love to meet him.
However , just as you consider his views on the Syrian issue as erroneous so do I.

The 'Fuss' is about the manner in which you construct your invitations to vote when it dawns upon you that there might be some value in a 'Poll' to bolster YOUR views.

Even in this post, you immediately add bias to YOUR opinion by declaring opposition to 'Warped Views' (which they are not) and attempt to substantiate YOUR position by presupposing that anyone else interacting with the 'Member under YOUR scrutiny' must also possess 'Warped Views'.

Such a pity that, at YOUR age, you have not grasped the fundamental requirements of 'Civilized Debate' and as such are ill-equipped to engage with those who may not agree with you.

Incidentally, IF you were to take the time to READ the posts of others (and digest the content) you might even learn something about what is happening in the world, you certainly will fall far short of the truth if your only source of information is a newspaper.

Discussion and debate (in a civilized fashion) is what a 'Forum' is all about... Didn't you know that ?.

I draw a red line when it comes to debates with you !! Your posts on the savages, on gays being thrown of tall buildings, on justifying brutal murders such as those in Tunisia , France and other places does not warrant civil interacting debates, its tantamount to discussing the merits of paedophilia, necrophilia and other disgusting practices, hence the primary reason I find your views nauseating and I choose to respond in the only manner suitable for such vile views.

I shall refrain, on this occasion, and I apologize for denying you some weird perversion that you appear to be deriving, from my colourful language.

I do not enter into civil debates with those in support of excruciatingly vile views such as those you have so frequently expressed.

My views on a number of subjects and issues are well know on this forum, be it Syria, the UK, Cyprus or indeed religious bloody mythology.

As indicated , were you to READ and DIGEST that which is written, you would surely have by now reasoned that YOUR interpretations of my views are totally misguided

As to your (so called) colourful language, it is nothing short of absolute filth and you SHOULD be ashamed of yourself for such expressions., however, coming from one who actively assisted the 'Brits' in their campaign to overthrow Cyprus and chose to live among them for more than fifty years (carefully avoiding the duties of a 'Patriot' by making sure that no visit to Cyprus would be long enough to require him to serve a bit of time in the 'Military' like the many thousands of his peers) it is quite understandable.

As to 'SHAME', I very much doubt that you are able to feel such an emotion since it would require a degree of respectability to attain it, therefore, you are trapped in your own quagmire of filth and the ONLY talent you portray lies in your ability to resort to insult, foul expression and a tendency to besmirch those who do not share your pusillanimous opinions.

As a rule I never disassociate my self from something that I have never been associated with, however since you stupidly brought this matter up on numerous occasions, and so that new members will comprehend how blatantly stupid you are, I shall forego my steadfast principles and deal with this crap that you keep posting.
Pervert, I was born in 1946 , at the start of the struggle against the British occupation on April 1st 1955 I was 8 years 11 months old.

I joined the youth movement of EOKA, called ANE on reaching the age of 12 in 1958, a year later the struggle came to an end. I was 13 years old.

Two years later at the age 15 I emigrated to the UK. A stupid fucking pervert such as you insinuates that I ....run for my life !!
You stupid bastard, fuck off !!
There you are, I have now given your perversion A BOOST.

Ah !, but you forgot to mention the 'Sand-Bags' that you filled for the Brits in preparation for the 'Invasion' of Cyprus.

Not being 'Au Fait' with matters of 'Military Consequence' (how could you be ?) you probably do not know that the invasion of Cyprus was planned years in advance and (possibly) many of the 'Sand-Bags' are STILL in place where the pre-determined borders remain to this very day.

You also assisted in the construction of the 'Barracks' (by loading sand on to the 'British Army Lorries') before you 'Hot Footed' it out of Cyprus and made good your escape to the land of the 'Brits' before you were rumbled by the young men who were prepared to stand their ground against their enemies and would be rightly offended by your activities.

Don't forget the 'Kindly English Lady' (you mentioned) who used to ply you with sweets !, was she after information I wonder ?.

There is more yet (for the benefit of new members) you can 'Run' but you can't 'Hide' mate, there are still those who remember the snotty little turncoat who legged it to safety when the going looked like it was going to get a bit tough AND, conveniently set a course which would ensure that 'THIS ONE' would NEVER put his time in for a bit of 'Military Service'.

OH YES, you really are a fine example of a 'Patriotic Cypriot' (My Arse)
