He states clearly that his views are universal. I think NOT. He is a lovely guy but blinded by his immense hatred of Putin and Russia. Perhaps he means well, I think he is misguided and rather naive.

The coalition is in Syria against the will of the legally elected Syrian government. Regime change can not be forced on any nation, the West has fucked up badly, the continuation of the misery is down to the west's support- though now no lomger- . There was an election not that long ago in Syria. The west decided to INVADE and ignore the wishes of the Syrian people.

I refuse to participate in this thread which targets me personally and is designed to insult my views and intelligence.

Even if a few members vote against me is by no means any vindication as to the validity of your sledgehammer views, and bullying tactics just because my views don't seem to gel with that many Cypriots on a Cypriot Forum.

You can bet your bottom dollar however, that my views on a Comprehensive peace settlement would be shared by all those who hold power in the Republic of Cyprus, because as intelligent individuals they know that your sledgehammer approach will bear no fruit other than perpetual sectarian conflict and that the only way forward is a comprehensive political solution.

My views are perfectly sane, logical and are well considered.

What exactly is YOUR "comprehensive settlement" ?
Does it perhaps,I think, involve the removal of Assad, ie regime change , and the carving up of a nation ? Have you considered which of the many jihadis will take over?
Have you put YOUR comprehensive plan to either Assad or Russia?
