I have noticed over the last few months that any ‘query’ entered into the Google search box that is in any way related to current events, from Syria, Brexit, Russian interference in US elections, economics and even to World banking etc. delivers millions of results ...... but at least the first 9-10 pages are virtually ALL main stream media and official sites. You have to really search to find any alternate independent narrative. It was not like this until quite recently. It appears the responses are being biased to put ‘official’ thinking ahead of anything that would question it?

Does your browser do the same? Do you use algorithms to bias search results? :?:

Mine offers multiple search engines to choose from when opening a new tab if you R-click instead of L-click on the little “new tab” thingie like this…

Google is but one of many search engines to choose from. Also, the google version offered in mine is different to the one offered in Chrome because it doesn't include the spying wrapper...

nospy.png

The problem he faces is that none of your search engines will ever prioritize his alternative junk sights like Information Clearing House and Sputnik or Spoofnik whatever it its called...

That's because his alternative junk web pages and sources are not just considered junk by Google, Yahoo, Bing and what have you, but they are also considered to be junk sources by Duck Duck Go, Yandex, and even those Chinese and Russian Browsers you have.

So the only solution that remains is for Robin Hood to take his computer back to the shop and ask for a refund and take up knitting in his old age!

Robin,

It’s worth taking your computer to a technician and asking them to give your computer a thorough cleanup (junk files, registry, Windows fine tuning, etc) and then install and setup the XP version of my browser on your machine so that you may have an additional browsing choice.

This may cost you around €60 so if you can afford it I think it’s worth having a clean and well set-up system. The long term experience will definitely be worth it.

Alternatively, if you can drop it off in Tseri where I’m at, I’ll happily do all that for you for free but I will need 24 hours with your machine to do it properly so someone will have to return to collect it the next day.

GR:

Thank you for the advise. I did have that done about five years ago by an ex-GCHQ computer buff and he did a brilliant job. But over the intervening years no doubt there is more rubbish to get rid of? I do try to delete the clutter but driven by my lack of expertise I am always concerned I may delete something I shouldn't and screw up the whole system. Thank you for the offer to do it for me .... appreciated and I will more likely take you up on it but not at the moment, maybe early next year?

Completely off the thread but I could not resist his Trolling!

Paphiis: This just about sums you up ........

"Nothing in all the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity.” – Martin Luther King.

....... and the following further sums up your ignorance.........

"Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knowledge with the lies of the day." --Thomas Jefferson to John Norvell, 1807

A comment made 210 years ago .......... but I guess it takes you ‘useful idiots’ a while to accept reality, although I would have thought the embarrassing fiasco and the abject failure of your Syria/Assad/Putin rhetoric regarding events in Syria, would have encouraged you to seek a broader affirmation of World events. Obviously not, as you have now gone all religious and are placing your faith in the Bible!

The sources you ridicule have turned out to be far more accurate with their assessments and analysis of events in Syria, than the sources you turn to ........ the proof of that is in the outcome! President Putin’s status as a World Statesman and Russian influence in general, has increased very significantly not only in the region but Worldwide and Assad is still the President of Syria. Just to mention two things where you predicted the exact opposite.

"The man who reads nothing at all is better educated than the man who reads nothing but newspapers." -Thomas Jefferson

How long before you start your evangelical ‘WE’ campaign on behalf of Netanyahu and his poodle Trump ?

You see what I mean mate. the idiot is a lost cause. Obviously too stupid to understand that the internet is Market Driven. Obviously too stupid to own a computer.

His sources being utter junk, don't attract the credibility or market appeal to get anywhere near the front page. In addition, google, facebook, twitter, yahoo have declared war against Fake News sites which once again, demotes his propaganda sites even further into the abyss. :D

Well, Thomas Jefferson didn't see it that way .......... they didn't have the present description of 'useful idiots' in those days or the access we have to all the information which has been hidden away for generation after generation. Now the people are beginning to see through the smoke screen and the Ruling Classes wallowing in their swamp, are very worried. That is why they are trying to censor the internet, to prevent people actually accessing the other side of the story. People who think for themselves are an existencial danger to them.

Google doesn't censor anything. it is private enterprise and is in the business of making money.

They couldn't care less about CNN, BBC, Information Discount Clearance Sales, Spoofnik, or RT. They just rank websites according to their popularity to maximise their advertising profits.

Governments censor. Governments like Pootin in particular are very good at it.

Others like the USA can be good, but actually have that niggly little thing called The US Constitution and The Bill of Rights which kind of forbids it right.

Just learn how to prefix your searches so that you can get Information Clearance sales at the top of the list. You are lucky to live in a free country.

Echelon would love to tear down the US Consitution and the Bill of Rights. it would make everything so much more easier and less complex but unfortunately we have our university students that would tear the place down at the mere thought and we can't really shoot them like they can in Mother Russia because that would piss off even more people. In Russia you just kill those that are pissed off as well and then everyone would be too scared to be pissed of at all and pretend Pootin is Mr all round nice guy until they are outside of Russia and start telling the truth about him

Just ask Svetlana. A Russian member of CF that lives in Paphos. Ask her if she likes Pootin and why she left Russia. She was an Intelligence Officer of the Russian Federation too, so you would think she knows a think or 2.

New looks for new directions...

With the New Year just around the corner I’ve had to make some decisions for the Classic browser, one of which was the new look that will carry it through 2018.

With the aid of some trusty female input, I’ve come up with what some could call the “Kardashian range” of browser control panels as we utilized gold, silver, diamonds, graphite, ruby, amber, chrome, and similar materials/elements to form complex enticing designs in our aim to accessorize the modern Internet browser.

The Classic browser as its name suggests, must always have an element of class about it so the usual boring software trends were of no value to us so… just as you admire a beautiful pair of high heels, a gorgeous handbag, or a fine pair of men’s dress shoes… so too must the Classic browser stand out as a fashion accessory that represents and accentuates one’s personal style.

The image below is a sneak preview of the 2018 collection of built-in control panel designs that will be easily selectable in the program's options.

Now, at first glance the image below will probably look a bit too strong but that’s only because they’re all bunched up together in one image for demo purposes but if you can imagine just ONE of these at a time being your browser control panel it’ll help make more sense out of what you’re seeing.

Your input as always is welcome.

NB: You must drag and drop this to your desktop. Don't view it here because it's a high res.

v2.6 is now available for download...

* Added Media Device details to system info and merged plugins and MIME types into one.

* Doubled the browser's scrolling speed affecting both Internet and internal pages.

* Managed a small decrease in startup memory consumption by disabling a chromium feature that is useless to us.

* Many gorgeous new color schemes for 2018 replace all the old. Now you can surf with class and style!

* Some changes in the appearance and bahavior of tabs, for the better.

* A new "Find" function button has been added to menus for when you can't find an entry.

* Fixed buggy behavior with "page load cut-off" browser option.

* Corrected browser behavior trying to impose incompatible zooming on SVG images/anims.

* As always many miscellaneous smaller optimizations/refinements are included in this version.

* A untested edition with the Chromium Engine v63.0.3239.108 is also available.

* A bug with malformed URIs when reading cookies has been sorted.

* Node Trees have been sped up considerably.

* Now you can also change the style of menu buttons under "Setup > Button Styling".

* Now you can instantly perform a "Whois" lookup on websites via... "Main Menu > Page Operations > Whois Lookup"

* Powerful Word Filtering on websites is now a fact with optional replacement words. "Main Menu > Page Operations > Filter Page" (kid's demo filter file included)

* Lots of little tweaks here and there but due to the festive season some changes/updates did not make this list!

* Currently testing Chromium Engine v63.0.3239.132 (two issues found... logs you out automatically and gets sluggish over time) Available archive Classic-W7B.zip
