Get Real! wrote:What do you think this "America" is anyway?

America is 1/5 Latino trash, 1/5 black African criminals, and the rest are the Caucasian descendants of undesirable hardcore convicts banished from Europe!

It’s a melting pot of crime and decadence and that’s why it’s such a failed state.

How is it that you can associate with such a horrible bastardized mix unless you’re a criminal yourself…

A nation with a trillion-dollar budget that doesn’t care enough to provide free healthcare and a free tertiary education to its citizens!

Not even these BASIC entitlements are available in the criminal US because all their government cares about is wasting all the tax money playing God in other parts of the world!

What could possibly be lower than that… :?

What do you think this Russia is anyway. It's 30% a Muslim country and the women, as attractive as they really are, are really not that attractive on the inside and are incredibly vain and just as likely to go after the man with the deepest wallet just like that murderer in Brazil who killed her Husband and The Greek Ambassador to Brazil.

America on the other hand is a multicultural country. Yes there are blacks, Asians, Latinos(Spanish really), Greeks, Italians, Jews, and so on it goes. Tell me, why do so many of OUR people choose America as their country? There are a Million Greeks in the USA. Why?

When hell freezes over.

You heard it too. USSR set Cyprus up to take a fall. Straight from cp279's mouth.

Amazing!

Yes according to cp279, Cyprus poked the bear and got some paws. We've established that already. It was stupid to be poking the bear. Also stupid for infants to be playing with knives or matches.

We have also established, that the USA invests many times more money into Cyprus than all of Russia. Don't believe me? Do the research. Noble Energy alone will invest more than the entire Cyprus GDP and will create at least 10,000 jobs in Cyprus. That makes America the biggest employer in Cyprus outside the Public Service. One would think that you would be a lot less flippant since you insinuated that the friendship is a measure of the money either of these countries pour into Cyprus.

Well, America wins that battle by a long shot.

One more thing. Did you know that the US Government has donated 2 Dual Use Vessels (Civil and military) from its very own Coast Guard? These are capable customs vessels worth many millions apparently. They were donated as a Thank You to the Republic. Did Russia donate anything to Cyprus?

Christofias out of his stupidity went over to Pootin to beg him for money. He said that the Cypriot people supported Russia. How dumb can you get? As if Russia is now going to donate money for the admiration of the Cypriot People. It loaned Cyprus 2 Billion but it wasn't enough so he went back to ask for 7 billion more and Pootin told him to piss off. And you're still paying that 2 billion loan at a heftier interest rate than what was given by the ECB and IMF. Interesting!

And to top it, we have all learned that Russia and Turkey are about to hold joint military exercises and that Russia just signed a pipeline deal with them. I mean far out dude!

Is all of this wrong? Please tell me if it is.

In my experience in the industry, this is certainly wrong ........

You obviously have no idea how the oil/gas industry works! You really believe that Nobel Energy is investing THEIR money? Let me tell you how it worked when I worked in oil and gas (Last time was a $1.4bn plant in Saudi 1997 to 2001.)

NE will raise a loan on behalf of Cyprus (Client Company?) , from a Bank or various banks. The Bank then pays Nobel previous, contractually agreed stage payments, i.e. huge sums of money. The Cypriot economy is left with the debt, which it will eventually have to repay, when it all goes on-steam. (Providing the gas/oil prices don’t drop below a certain level). In the meantime the interest piles up. Having been involved with Cypriot business methods before I would expect the contract agreed with NE to be loaded with protective penalties.

When Russians bring their money to Cyprus they buy expensive properties, much of it commercial. They also start up businesses ..... it used to be with loans from Laiki, but I seem to remember the banks got their fingers burnt and that option is no longer available. With around 9000 Russians on the Island many of them millionaires, even billionaires, the benefits to Cyprus way outstrips anything that will come from the US. You can always recognise the Russians as they are the ones driving Rolls Royce's, Bentley's, Lamborghini's, Ferrari's and Bugatti's and living in huge no-expense spared properties.

NE will create a lot of debt for Cyprus! As for 10.000 jobs for Cypriots   ....... they won’t need that many catering or cleaning staff, after all let us be practical ..... Cypriots have no expertise to offer that would interest NE. The management will be a handful of Americans maybe married status with their wives; their senior staff will be a mixture of US and ex-pat Europeans acting as their site managers and senior discipline engineers, as they will all have the necessary experience and expertise that NE can utilise. They will most likely work a ten hour day, six days a week, all found as is/was the norm.

The technicians and the guys that get their hands dirty, will most likely be bought in from The Philippines .... they are good workers, well qualified and experienced in their individual trades. They come cheap and will live in pretty poor conditions, maybe 6-8 sharing a room with bunk beds and 6-8 rooms sharing a communal toilet/shower block.I am afraid Cypriots do not have the experience and would certainly not be prepared to work the hours these guys do or live in their conditions.

With US contractors site construction staff will have to start on time and will be required to clock-in. So the only jobs left will be in the services.... like catering, laundry and cleaning .... and I can’t see Cypriots going for that sort of job.

Well, America wins that battle by a long shot.

Of course they win! Do they ever lose? The loser will be Cyprus because it will end up saddled with a huge $ debt. The winner will be NE who will sell the gas/oil, and maybe pay off the Cyprus debt on their behalf and Cyprus will just get a small percentage.

So not quite the Golden Goose you think it will be.

With so many revelations how Russia was delighted for the invasion of Cyprus, and the fact that Russia and Turkey are conducting joint military exercises and from the fact that the USA is the Republic's biggest monetary investor by a long shot and soon will become the biggest employer on the island, has you head finally gone pop?

Maybe Pootin's head has gone pop too, but I doubt it. He just knows Cypriots are dumb fucks and little lambs to the slaughter and laughs himself to sleep every night at the prospect of another grovelling Christofias who should be stuffed and placed in a museum as a timely reminder of stupid!
