I wasn't expecting responses. There are those who sit there though, tap, tap, tapping away from the perceived safety of their closeted keyboards. When they find themselves eyeball-to-eyeball, well it's a different matter then of course. You never seem to get parody for some reason. And I'm the "pompous" one?

Speaking of which. I did 15 years as a snotty-nosed Cockney kid with holes in his socks and shoes. Not a very good grounding for pomposity.

I do confess to being a Brit. To me that isn't just something on the front of my passport and a place I get-off pouring contemptuous scorn and ridicule on either, like yourself. So, call me pompous, if it helps.

So, I tap, tap, tap ...... and you glug, glug, glug and tap, tap, tap........ but tomorrow I will wake up early, fresh, sober and ready for another day!

I am embarrassed by what I see my country doing to others. You may well hold your head high and believe what you have done over the years was for Queen and Country ..... but what a sad illusion. It took me most of my life to realise that I was being lied to and realised just what we were guilty of ..... the sad thing is that, thanks to people with your philosophy, we are still doing it. The British people just like the Americans are good people ..... it is their government and establishment elites that I have no time for...... any of them. It seems like a lot of people are now beginning to see what it has taken me years to fathom out, but then we didn't have the Internet!

You think I was brought up any differently from you? My shoes were repaired with old car tyres, my trousers when I started wearing 'longuns' I had knee patches, my playground was the bomb sites and back streets of south London ..... you think it makes you special? I managed to crawl out of the disadvantages of being raised in the rough and after several false starts (including being in the RAF for three years) I found a career I liked engineering, went back to evening school and managed to do reasonably well. So you are nothing special ..... maybe I would have ended up as pompous as you if I had stayed in the Queens service ........ but me, senseless discipline and brainwashing are not suited to one another.

YOU WERE LUCKY! WE USED TO DREEEEEAAM ABOUT CAR TYRES AND HAVING KNEE PATCHES. LUXURY!

I love the way you elevate me to sort of - Angel of Death - status. Well, when you're not promoting the idea that I'm a pompous alcoholic. But before I go on. I posted what I thought was an amusing parody of dogs/keyboard warriors. That was it. Nothing heavy, or aimed. I've just been reading in another of your delightful posts about what a terrible Troll I apparently am but it's you that's taken that innocent little video to this place. There it is again...... hypocrisy.

Spare me another lecture on the evil West - please. I merely make the point that in the 5 years or so I've known you I can't recall you ever saying absolutely anything other than with contempt or spitting hatred about your own country, or it's allies. Conversely, you've spoken about some really quite questionable types with glowing admiration and approval. Usually rushing, whatever the situation, to be their apologist-in-chief.

Yes - you washed out of the Airforce. So - see what you say about the Armed Forces. Chippy, chippy, chippy. Always contempt. Ohh, unless they're Russian/Iranian/Palestinian, etc of course.

I've never claimed to be anything special. As I said in a previous post, I'm a retired, marginalised, has-been. Quite a happy one though really. Glad to be shot of the old life. Well, you can only murder so many innocent women and children. I certainly don't go as far as having a "philosophy".

I'm well aware of your CV. That because when you couldn't entice somebody into a sermon on one of the usual obsessions your favourite subject tended to be - you. Most of it usually in an "I showed them!" vein. Grudgefests.

I've lost count of the times you've said how you like people. Just not their governments, or "them", whatever. You have no problem with Jews, for instance. Go on, you went to school with one. It's those terrible Zionists that need to be eliminated. Then there's the old story, heard umpteen times, of the American who didn't know where Cyprus was. Despicable!

The US. Obama - probably the most inept, dithering POTUS since Peanut Jimmy - was evil personified. Trump - the great white hope? Boy, are you likely to be in for a shock.
