Ahhh, you will need to spend another 10 years to understand what's going on with this forum, and who is who.
What a disappointment you are, I thought you knew the basic FACTS, as for example who from the persons you listed IS the admin.

Why does it matter who is the forum owner/Admin?

I wouldn’t treat him any different.

The owner has to have two personas… on the one hand he has to manage the place and on the other he may want to post his POVs and be one of the boys.

It’s a challenge I don’t envy.

Btw, I also experienced Erol as an Admin I think for a couple of years… oh boy… he was corrupt to the bone!

He had this “punishment” system… don’t remember the details… I think you were barred from posting somehow for a period of time (a month?)… if you generally didn’t adhere to the (pro Anan-like) policy he was pushing.

He had a group of pets with which they fully agreed and collaborated (including Mikis) and anyone outside it was shunned via the punishment system.

Erol, if you’re reading this you should know that you were the worst Admin ever in the history of Admins... a true Ottoman!

I'd say, based on the options given, that GR makes some interesting posts on a variety of topics. Milti used to do that as well... but recently he just makes stupid polls. Robin Hood and Paphitis bore me... they now only talk about the same crap which aren't even related to Cyprus. Lordo's only interesting post was the one when he came out and admitted he was gay.

Erol was one of the MANY moderators not the admin of this forum.
And he had no authority to do what you said. All he was doing was countless of meaningless and non effective suggestions via PMs plus clearing parts of posts that included name calling. I don't know what he was doing in his own forum though.

Nonsense! Erol was one of the MANY moderators not the admin.
And he had no authority to do what you said. All he was doing was countless of meaningless and non effective suggestions via PMs plus clearing parts of posts that included name calling. You are obviously confused.

I suspected you were talking for some other forum, and edited my post, while in the meantime you posted yours.
Anyway the admin here is very clever, he knows damn well that moderating the forum is a recipe for disaster.
He did the favor to Pahitis once by locking a totally irrelevant topic, but I don't think he will do it again.
Viewpoint was complaining every day yet apart from a couple of occasions nothing happened.
I predict nothing will happen to this topic as well

We have just about covered every aspect of our own political scene as well as that of the ME.
You may have also noticed that as stupid as these fun time polls are they do attract a lot of interest .

I usually check in on GR!'s post as he links to some newsworthy items. Sotos is good for a sane point of view. Pyrpoliser has a nice bitchy edge to his posts Most people have something to say and if all that binds us is Cyprus, that's good enough for me.
