It's a plus and minus phenomenon, it repels 1 it attracts 3
This very topic is a perfect example, half of it is about the previous vendetta between RH and LR.
Other than that I personally dig our useful and meaningful arguments and information from nearly every poster, and beleive it or not Lordo is included.
Nobody can force ANYONE to embrace his views, and this was always Paphiti's mistake. It really makes me sad that he left for this same reason. Because he failed to force the admin to take action in his favor as if he was the "saint" of the forum and Milti et al the "evil" ones. Nobody is a "saint" here, ,neither GR, Paphitis, RH, Lordo, Milti, or myself just to name a few....

What the forum needs is more donkeys :!:

I agree with this...I was about to post something on similar lines..maybe the thread should have been about forum abusers wrecking other persons topics??
If RH and LR wish to continue a personal vendetta let them start a different thread then we won't all have to wade through their tripe to get back on course

Back from customers and I have a basic computer question my lovely ones…

When you switch to type in a foreign language in Windows 10, a virtual keyboard pops up at the bottom of the screen which shows you which keys to press on a standard US-keyboard to get the corresponding foreign character you want.

Does something similar exist in Win7?

Is this an extra addon or part of Windows? What’s the story with this foreign key helper thingie?

Thanks.

 It’s gradually turned into a sharmutta thread.

Good news btw on that front… Admin will be paying close attention to this character towards a solution. :)

Windows 7 comes with an on-screen Keyboard.... never used it. You can find it in the "Ease of Access Center". When you change keyboard language that virtual keyboard changes accordingly. I don't use Win10, but I am guessing Win10 has the touch keyboard which can be used with any language because it is touch optimized...like the keyboard on mobiles and tablets... maybe that is what you are seeing.

Thanks Sotos… I clicked on "Ease of Access Center" (the title itself) and a new screen opened I never knew existed, which contained “Start on screen keyboard”. I then added Greek to test and after the first CR in Word the virtual Kbd changed to Greek!

It’s pretty cool! :D

I never use other languages so there are a lot of things I don’t know when it comes to language support other than the basics.

Now to figure out how to create a shortcut of this virtual Kbd… :?

It turns out it's a standalone program...

C:\Windows\System32\osk.exe

...so creating a shortcut is easy.

Perhaps the topic should have been titled "Help stop forum self-abusers from wrecking our joint…" - too many have good forumers have ceased posting - Bill C, ZoC, Halil, Deniz, (One of the real gents here) to name but a few. My reasons for less activity are family based, as I no longer have the time to keep up on the rapid fire exchanges.
