Online stockbrokers in Cyprus?

Postby BerkshireScouse » Thu May 11, 2017 12:28 pm

Hi

I am a UK resident currently living and working in Cyprus. I have an account with the Bank of Cyprus and have a sum of money which I would like to invest in Euro denominated shares and funds (for all Eurozone countries, not just Cyprus).

I would like to utilise an online investment facility to trade in shares and funds, much like Hargreaves Lansdown in the UK. Is anyone aware of such a facility?

If not, then presumably I would have to resort to buying shares and funds through my bank, or through a conventional stockbroker. Does anyone have any suitable recommendations?

Many thanks in anticipation of your assistance.

Hey there,

First of all, you can try TWINO www.twino.com . It's not a stockbrocker at all, but you can earn up to 12% interest by funding loans. Be sure to only select the buyback guarrantee feature so you don't lose any money. Though, if you feel frisky you can go for the A B C loans and earn more interest with a risk.

Now, I never used an online stock brocker, but if you want an online stock broker that is physically based in Cyprus and has good reviews all over the web then you can give Etoro a go https://www.etoro.com/

Here is their physical address in Cyprus:
eToro (EUROPE) LIMITED
KIBC (Kanika International Business)
7th Floor
4 Profiti llia Street
Germasogesia
4046 Limassol Cyprus
Company Registration Number: HE200585

I have been trading in shares for nearly fifteen years using an account at the following Luxembourg-based company and have never had any complaints:

http://int.tddirectinvesting.com/

You can trade on 18 stock exchanges in North America, Europe and the Asia Pacific and hold cash in a variety of currencies. They have investment funds, too. The commission is wafer thin (certainly to what I remember when I first ever bought shares in the UK in the 1980's!) and I find it amazing that if, for example, you trade at the current market price, the trade is literally settled within a few seconds of clicking the mouse. A far cry from the experience of going through human dealers. You can open an account with them regardless of where you live.

I will look into that myself. Thank you for your contribution.
