My political views

Postby lonewolfcypriot » Wed Jul 26, 2017 10:14 pm

I am a bit confused. I believe in a United Cyprus. I want the green line to be demolished and I strongly dislike the TRNC but at the same time I believe in the idea that all Turks from Cyprus to Mongolia should be united under one entity. Does this notion of wanting unification contradict with my pan-nationalist beliefs or does it not. I would like to see Cyprus cooperate with Turkic states in the future. Or do I have to drop one idea for another?

Nobody knows what you’re on about mate… if you can’t rewrite your view clearly without the use of “turanist” then you don't really have a view but a buzzword you picked up from somewhere. :)

Turanism, Pan-Turanianism, Pan-Turanism or Pan-Turkism in some extent, is a nationalist cultural and political movement born in the 19th century, to counter the effects of pan-nationalist ideologies like Pan-Germanism and Pan-Slavism.[1] It proclaimed the need for close cooperation or alliance between culturally, linguistically or ethnically related peoples of Inner Asian origin from Turkic peoples.

No, I can read the Wiki myself.

Try rewriting your view without *any* use of the word "turanist".

I've never seen so many "Pans".

Do you mean Pans as in the family of Chimpanzees? Or Pans as in pots and pans? Or Pan as in the Greek God, Pan, in which case the state that arises from his influence, 'Panic', suits you rightly. :P

You can summarize it all with pan-bullshit if you ask me…

No, but you could’ve been more forthcoming with an intro like…

“Hello, I’m a Turk trying to promote a loosely federated cluster of regional ethnicities under the guise of nationalism, as a solution to Cyprus”

…or something like that, instead of clouding your say with the overuse of a buzzword.
