what used to be called "Cyprus" ...

Postby patrick jane » Mon Oct 30, 2017 4:42 am

Good Morning everyone

PLEASE DON'T JUDGE ..

I hope y'all having a wonderful day and all is going good and pleasant. :)

So, let us get right into the topic ... My name's Patrick and I have a "view" or maybe an opinion on Cyprus nowadays that I feel I must share with you guys, but before I do, please keep emotions aside and leave the negative comments away. :)

Before I came to Cyprus, I used to live in Jordan and after that the United States for a couple of years. life was simple, easy and full of love and care. Cyprus taught me a lot of things in life, I now call Cyprus "the School of life"

I now reside in the occupied city of Famagusta, north Cyprus, studying Engineering, still two years until graduation :D :D (am almost 24 years old now, but why haven't I finished school yet? ... well .. you know Cyprus better than I do :D )

what I want to discuss with you guys is the kind of life a young adult(between 18-30 yrs old) would have here. I came here when I was 20 on the hope of achieving what parents want for their children, a stable life and an honorable education(at least that is what I thought it was) and now I am writing this thread with a cigarette in my left hand and exactly 1 euro in my wallet until Nov 17th :D :D .. this might make guys laugh, but it is the mere truth.

Drugs, Alcohol, night clubs, Casinos, betting clubs, hookers, frauds and finally and most importantly corrupt cops .... this is the kind of school I went to and those are the courses I took. I lived in the states for almost 3 years and I have never seen the amount of drugs especially marijuana here. almost everyone smokes weed here, but many are underage and are abusive towards it, meaning not knowing how or when to use it. I would say that almost 99.99% of students do this crap.

Now, coming to the other courses which I took all at once and btw, I passed in all of them :D :D
parents send their kids abroad for one purpose and one purpose only ! to get a goddamn degree .. that simple
yet what I did and what students are doing, is the exact opposite. Please don't say it's just me, and that I have fell into this because of my own actions and beliefs ... this situation applies to everyone here .. or at least for every student in here. You know, everyone that have been to Cyprus said that it is the most peaceful and welcoming country they've ever been to, when I hear that I get the feeling of grabbing a 9mm glock gun and shoot them in their mouths.

Honestly, I can go on for hours talking about this, but I don't want this topic to be any longer ..
what do you guys think about this ? and could we say that it is similar in the Greek side ?

PLEASE DON'T JUDGE .. :)

Your parents probably hate you which would explain why they sent you to an illegal Turkey-occupied territory to “study”. Here’s all you need to know about this territory…

The north is an illegal peudo state and their economy depends on casinos and related activities and they are filled with criminal fugitives who go to hide there. Of course drugs exist everywhere and it depends with whom you associate, but the north is definitely a high risk place.

Or more likely they have been fooled by the lies of the Turks.Obviously the Turks do not promote the north as an illegal pseudo state filled with dodgy casinos and criminal fugitives.

Yes, if you live in an illegally occupied part of the world you will get to experience the things you describe.

A shocking statement !
All people I met smoking dope would flunk at any University of some level.

Notice international/European Surveys for Cyprus don't include the occupied areas.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annual_ca ... by_country
https://publications.europa.eu/en/publi ... anguage-en

It looks it's only 4.3% in the Free areas.
