Sotos:
Israel is the historic land of the Israelis who lived in that territory before the Arabs.

I agree with the rest of your post but I am not sure that comment is correct?

The Jews originated from the Hebrews or rather twelve tribes did. According to the Bible, the Hebrew people after the death of Moses, took possession of the Promised Land of Canaan under the leadership of Joshua. It seems the twelve tribes were the Jews that left Egypt and moved to take over Canaan, which was of course already occupied by other Arab tribes. The tribes of Israel were named after the sons or grandsons of Jacob, whose name was changed to Israel after he wrestled an angel of the Lord and from that point, the Hebrew people became known as Israelites. They left Egypt and then settled into the land of Canaan and built their Temple in Jerusalem.

After King Solomon died, Israel split into two kingdoms. Judah, to the south, included Judah, Simeon, and Benjamin. The other tribes combined to make the kingdom of Israel in the north. Israel was destroyed by the Assyrians, and most of the Israelites were either killed or deported; the Israelites who remained most likely integrated with the kingdom of Judah but their DNA is now untraceable among modern Israelis.

Anthropologists have said that there is virtually no genetic link between the original twelve tribes of Israel and the present population of Israel. The origin of the current Jewish people is predominantly Eastern European. Even if you believe that God made the Jews his chosen people and gave them the area we know as The Holy Land, the current population are not descendants of the original 12 tribes of Israel.

As for Trump ........

I believe that it is not Trumps declaration that is creating the problem with the Muslim/Arab World but the fact that The Zionists have oft stated a determination to make Israel and Jerusalem EXCLUSIVELY Jewish and that is nothing short of apartheid. Zionism is not the same as Judaism and only became an entity about 1840. It is also a political organisation not a religious one!

Not all Jews are Zionists and not all Zionists are Jews but Zionists and Zionism is the root of the trouble not Jews or Judaism. :|

GIG: I will pass on the Cyprus problem ..... it’s a minefield for non-Cypriots. I just live here.

The built-in browser spell checkers wouldn't pick it up as an error because both versions are legitimate words.

Only a very sophisticated grammar checker would pick it up but you won't find one in browsers... not even Ms Word can do it.

The best spell/grammar checker is your EYESIGHT... that's what they mean when they talk about "having an eye for detail".

My eyes have been trained for decades to pick up errors in both English grammar and programming syntax in the languages I use. Not perfect but they rarely fail...

It's a video with hidden controls but my browser doesn't allow that and exposes the controls... this way I can pause/play or DL it! :)

"Add to Unknown" What happens if you press that button? They should not display that message to unsupported browsers. They should just say that they have plugins for the browsers they actually support. Anyway, if you want to try it you have to use another browser. I tried it once, but for some reason I uninstalled almost immediately. I am not certain why, but I think it was because it replaced my current spell checker which does both English and Greek spell check at the same time, while that one only did English and I would have to switch the spell checker every time I needed spell checking for Greek.

 You have no idea how many laughs I have daily in my unique world… I see shortcomings like that exposed all the time. If I click it... it does nothing! :)

Sometimes on other sites I’ll get a…. “Sorry, could not install plugin, something’s gone wrong!”

The other important difference you may have missed here is that Chrome/FF/Edge start playing the video automatically by honoring the annoying video attribute “autoplay” but mine doesn’t allow that and waits for the user to click “play”.

It’s all these little annoying things I hated in existing browsers which led me to write my own that behaves exactly how I felt it should. There was just no respect for the user… :?

Imagine if a toddler was sleeping just meters away from your laptop and you visit a website and suddenly this stupid video/animation/demo starts blaring away waking the kid up… I’d be furious!
