we'll be in Larnaca for 6wks this September (cant wait!!!!!)
anyway I have two little boys (3yrs and 1yrs old)
is there anything child friendly to do apart from the beach?
we'll be travelling all over the south and might even visit the north this time

There is a place in Aradippou which is a five min drive from the centre of Larnaca called Kids World. Its in the main road going up to the roundabout to Nicosia. It is a safe environment play area with two areas. One area for up to 5 years and one for small toddlers. There are climbing frames, those plastic ball bins things, loads of toys and the parents can sit and have a snack or drink while the kids play. The floor is all padded and safe. It's charged by the hour and pretty reasonable, about £2 a child I think.

The go-carts in Dromlaxia, near the airport, has small carts but also a bouncy indoor castle.

On the sea front next to Hobos there is a indoor luna park which has those rides you pay for.

On the road from Aradippou to the airport road there is a huge luna park called Lucky Star which has so many rides, bouncy castles, trampolines all ranging from 1-15 years old. You pay with tokens when you get there.

If I think of anything else I'll let you know. The Camel park is good for rides and a bouncy castle and you can feed the camels and donkeys.

Not sure yet - my grandparents want us to stay with them (in Livadia) but im keen to rent an apt for six weeks although I only want to spend about 400pnds for the whole six weeks - is that unreasonable as from what Ive seen online prices are way more expensive than that!!???

If you have relatives here ask them to find you something from here in the Larnaca area. The websites and villas offered on the Net are pricey but luxurious. My brother found a real bargin last year from ebay of all places and that was in Oroklini. Staying with relos is a pain though. But on the upside, you'll have free babysitters :)

I live in Aradippou but work in Larnaca. Dad Cypriot, Mum English. I've been here nearly 6 years now. I know what you mean about the wedding thing and a full house. We were living here when we got married and we had his family over to stay at our house. 3 days before the wedding I had enough and moved into the hotel, funny thing is my husband joined me, right up until the wedding day. You can only take so much.
