Since we joined the EU voting is not compulsory

Cyprus law says voting is compulsory. EU law says it is not. EU law takes precedence over Cyprus law so it means voting is not compulsory  |

I always vote. Not voting means declining your democratic rights.
A good thing with Cyprus is that we have several different options to choose from. And if we don't like any of the options we can easily set up our own.
This is something that can not happen in countries like USA, were there are just 2 parties controlled more or less by the same interests. |
