Thankyou Sotos,

and all my thanks to the Cypriots who write about this issue, and to our email address. I have colleded emails and I promise to keep you all informed, becasue many good things are happening.

On a personal level, although I am not Cypriot, I do admire the Cypriots. In only afew months time I will be there too :D

Regardless of where we live I think its important that we should never drift apart. Not in history, politics, economics and especially in sport.

Yasas!

Yes the ties between Greece & Cyprus are strong, but in my opinion it can be likened to the relation between Australia & New Zealand (ie: Similar, but not the same).

It kind of seems as if whenever Greece or Cyprus does well the other country wants association for the publicity. Yet, Cyprus clearly states that they are a seperate entity. So why not just take a Greek flag to a Greek football match? I mean this IS who you are supporting. Would you mind if I took an Egyptian flag to the game?

OK, so your cypriot and proud. F*ck it, take your flag and wave it! Whats the worse that can happen? If police start anything, there will be 50,000 wogs there that will stand up for you. You will then get the multiplication effect where Mitso at the game will call his cousin George at the cafe, who will then call his cousin Kotcho at the drags, and so on (same concept as in the movie Pizza)..... Before you know it there will be 300,000+ of our boys ready.

Have you contacted Neos Kosmos? to get their view on the matter?

LOL HOW TRUE

Maybe all the forgiving cypriots should take the Turkish flag since they love them so much PHUCKEN MALAKERS LOL

What about printing special t-shirts for the event with a Cypriot theme on them?

This whole issue isnt very well known at all. We only found out last week, and are certain its a new restiction. Plus, the FFA has been keeping a very low profile (they just signed a 'big' sponsorship deal).

Unfortunately, we were told no "politically motivated flags or emblems" and this includes printed t-shorts. Trust me, we tried, and have a joke going at the moment 'only Greeks can win wars naked'.

I understand why the Turkish lobby doesnt want the cypriot flag but what does Skopje have a problem with it?
I have to say I disagree with waving Cypriot flags at a football match between Greece and Australia that just supports the turkish propaganda that we still want ENOSIS .We cant have it both ways guys..or we want a united Cyprus or we dont.

For me Greece or Cyprus wins is the same.
That doesn’t mean that I want ENOSIS with Greece.
When the tennis was on the majority of the people were weaving the Greek flag wearing the Greek football shirts.
Again it wasn’t an expressed wish for ENOSIS with Cyprus.
