It's not just in Cyprus, bcuzikan, check out any international media. Their favourite stories a couple of months ago was gay marriages. It's base curiosity about something different, throw in the sexual aspect, and you've got a story that sells.

Personally I don't see why it's news, homosexuality is as old as any sexuality. I think it's news if a gay film is censored, or gay people are persecuted in any way, because that's against human rights.

II don’t know a lot about the ins and outs (no pun intended) of homosexuality other than it is constantly thrust down our throats (no pun intended here either) as being 'Normal'

They are even thinking about introducing that concept in schools to teach it to children as young as 3 years of age in this bloody not so great anymore country of ours that is it is Normal!

It is not and cannot be normal sexual activity.......... there are 2 sexes for a reason.........2 people of the same sex CANNOT conceive a child during sexual activity.

As for being evil, no I don’t think so, but it is certainly something that should be practiced in the privacy of their own homes, and not constanlty flout or subject the heterosexual population to their activities. vis George Michael and his frequent trips to Hampstead heath!!!

I agree with you perecles. It's biolocically incorrect, but I don't care. I resent the promotion of homosexuality in the media by "enlightened" liberals and agressive homosexuals. I believe their are many "marginal" homosexuals, particularly teenagers and this constant media pressure does them more harm than good. Perhaps this is how the human race will end - one day we will all be gay and stop breeding.

Agree with doglover. There are so many hypocrits too. I know men who say they are straight yet have sex with men but they say as long as they 'play the man's role' they are not gay. I don't why anybody cares. If these people who waste time worrying about what other are doing put that energy into something positive then we all be better off.

I agree fully. A Cypriot guy once told me that if he were to penetrate a man from behind, that wouldn't make him gay! It's complete bullshit, if you ask me. I guess they think that way because they like to be dominant, in every aspect of their life. They work, bring home the money, and their wives are expected to be in the kitchen, and nursing their children, with dinner on the table by 6 pm. MANY Cypriot men find it acceptable to have sex with other women. Now, infidelity is FAR worse than being gay. THAT is the epitome of evil... not the union of two gay people. I know very many Cypriots that look at gay men as if they are aliens, or lepers! Who are they to judge, when they cheat on their wives. So go ahead, start a thread on infidelity... is it right or wrong?? that's the real issue here in Cyprus. Men are 'MEN' and have that animal instinct, and find it acceptable to cheat on their wives. I've seen it happen time and time again. So, leave gay people alone!!! They're not hurting anyone by being themselves!! Look at what you, yourselves are doing! You can change, but you can't expect people to change based on some narrow minded idea you have. It makes me sick hearing the same old 'God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve' line. Leave people alone!

Doglover, agree with you about infidelity, and even about THEM doing what they want with each other........but aren’t you being just a little narrow minded yourself making, making sweeping statements about all men.

There are exceptions like yourself, but the fact remains the same. There ARE many Cypriot men that do cheat on their wives. My husband, whom is Cypriot, tells me all sorts of stories about how when he goes into the army for exercise, there are married men talking about how they're going to go to the cabaret to find a nice Russian girl for the night. Nowhere in my post did I say "All Cypriot men". But it is a fact that there are many men that have casual one night stands with foreign women here, and deem it acceptable, as long as their wives don't find out. I've heard my husbands 'koumparo' boast about how he and this other guy had a partouza with a Russian girl, whilst they were both married! And another guy my husband works with (also married) said to my husband "tha pao na vro mian rossida molis plirotho" You really need to accept that infidelity is a very common thing here. I have many other stories I could share with you. Let's not forget the astinomous, who have friends or relatives that own cabarets... and don't report them because they are given a girl for a night, to insure they are happy and get something out of it.
