I would recommend reading the
'The Consolations of Philosophy' by Alain de Botton.
Might help a bit - then again it might not.

i have just finished reading, "healing without freud or prozac". i can't remember the doctor's name, who wrote it. it offers some ways of managing anxiety and depression without the use of antidepressants or psychoanalytical methods used by psychiatrists.
it encouraged the following:
1. try to include more omega 3 oils in your diet. fish, is an excellent source, as well as walnuts if you are a vegetarian. supplements will also help.
2. exercise for a least 20minutes each day. this will elevate your levels of natural endorphins (feel-good hormones).
3. be assertive in your relationships with people. this is to respect your worth as well as the other person's opinion in an interaction.
4. something refered to as the "dawn effect". this encourages we wake up to natural sunlight each morning, as opposed to an alarm clock. |

Now that is someone who really investigated the issue. |

glad it wasn't a waste of time... |

Definately is not a waste of time, and it might help someone now, so well done |
