Cyprus Flag & National Anthem

Do you share the views of people who are insisting that Cyprus

should have and respect its own:

National flag ( we do have one) & National Anthem!

Also simultaneously strictly ban and prohibit the use of any other flags?

Cyprus Flag has to stay the same, it already serves what a solution and Cyprus state should be and it is a beautiful flag! One state two communities living in peace and prosperity.

The new united Cyprus should have a new national anthem! One that can be sang in both the languages similarly to the Swiss national anthem. Since ethnicity and religion cannot be subjects of that anthem due to the differentiation between the two communities, it should be a poem that unites us under a common dream! The beauties of our land and the beauties of our people should be praised by this new anthem.

I completely disagree of banning the flying of other flags, it is against human rights!

Luck of leadership

We need strong leaders in cyprus.

But they are out dated.

They neither die.

We have them for life time..

Papadopoulos & Clerides etc were negotiating for cyprus undependence in the 1950s and

Papadopoulos is negotiating today!

What is the youngest "leader" that we have had? Maybe There is a law which requires that you are eligible to become a president once you are over 60! :(

Kyprianou was 44 when he became President. Makarios was 47.

Like in most serious, modern, civilized, countries there are laws that are respected in relation to many issues as well as about the flags.

The Cypriot flag I will assume that it must/should be always displayed

a. In the middle of others
b. Be bigger in size
c. be in a higher pole
d. be the most prominent of any other.

Also other flags should NOT be allowed to be raised alone giving the wrong impression to people.

I wonder if there is such law in Cyprus and if it so, I would have been interested to read it.
