your response is typical...let me guess, you're not a big football follower, you just get excited when a big tournament comes around. my reasons for disliking the english national team are purely FOOTBALLING REASONS. and i know an english person who dislikes them for the exact same reasons.

i hate the media who build them up into world beaters and make mugs like you believe them that they're capable of winning something.
i hate the fans who win or lose have a booze.
i hate the biased tv coverage also. just watch ronaldo become public enemy number 1 now for doing nothing but complaining to the ref about a pikey who cant control his temper and decides to stamp a fellow professional in the nuts.

i have nothing in common with people like this so i dont see why i should support them just coz i live here. i like to watch good football so if greece or cyprus isnt playing i'll root for the most attractive team, e.g. argentina, brazil, france.

so dont mix football with your politics...i cant wait til the world cups over so the fairweather fans can go back into hibernation.

Well I did not go to University , just about managed to qualify as an accountant , and that was a struggle , so I'm not as privileged as you when it comes to knowing the correct comma procedure. Did you incidentally obtain your degree in a British Uni, or did you do it in Greece.
As far as football goes let me give you an example. At the last European cup who did you support , from the beginning that is. Greece was an outsider , but the likes of us who will support a team not just on merit , supported Greece from the very start , the same way that if no hopers Cyprus was to qualify for the next European cup we would support Cyprus .The point I'm making is that people who live in a country , and derive the benefits that they do , ought to support that country in all that the country does when competing in international events.
