We do still go on about it as it was a fantastic acheivement. Its part of English history and will be mentioned time and time again. Can you remember the last couple of occasions England have played the Argie Bargies? England won both games!!!!
If Rooney comes back in time and Owen gets more practice then we may add 06 to 66 in our World Cup triumphs!!!
ps where are Greece and Cyprus in the World Cup? |

So your a Greek-Cypriot so seen as you were born in Cyprus why not say "and will be supporting Cyprus against Romania on August 16th"???? |
where did i say i was born in cyprus?
my father is Greek and my mother is Greek-Cypriot so therefore i support both Greece and Cyprus. is it that hard to understand? |

we may not be at the world cup butif we had a piss easy group like englands i guarantee we would've been.
you may take the piss, but for england who created the game they've won 1 major championship. ooooohhh great!!
Greece has also won 1 major tournament and that was just 2yrs ago from our small footballing nation |

My son is half Greek Cypriot and half English , yet he supports England for the world cup with the same enthousiasm that he supported Greece , as indeed I did , in the European cup.
I of course support England for the world cup , it would have been very hard if Cyprus were playing but I know that my English family would accept my total support for Cyprus. |

so what? i hate it when people say that...my blood is Greek no matter where i live. you may be able to see past what the english have done in the past but i cant.
if i moved to sweden to work no-one would expect me to support them so why should it be any different here? the only reason i'd want them to win is for the day off work we would get and the buzz it would give the country. other than that, the buzz would wear off and we'd have to sit here listening to them about winning the damn thing for the next 50yrs. |
