Dear fellows:
This web site give us the opportunity to post some job positions. Is there any section in this website that can give me any kind of info about new openings in the Cyprus market. I think it is a valuable chance to promote this kind of communication to increase our chances of finding the appropriate job position.
Send me your opinions about it. I will appreciate your contributions for this crucial matter.
Thank you for your understanding.

I strongly doubt that idea about job postings in this forum will work properly.... have a look at other web-sites in Cyprus that relate somehow to recruitment, they are all bullshit, one-two postings, mainly relating to IT positions and that's it, no fantasy beyond that... minority community web-sites in Cyprus are also very poor as to job offering / requirements... Cypriots are not looking for jobs thru internet, they use old connections - friends and relatives
at least the ministry of labor now is going to create a database with vacancies in Cyprus (another move for the EU) |

Dear Tatiana:
Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your opinion about this crucial matter. I think it's time to look for this way of finding a job. Maybe, you are right. Very few people search for a job in the Internet.
Personally, I believe it is time to think more about it and start working in this matter. Many websites must offer this extra service to include job openings or job opportunities. It does not cost a lot to include another click button and expand their website. For example, Spidernet offers this kind of job finding.
So, we hope that this idea will be promoted by some very well known websites. People will use more modern ways to find a job in the future. I am absolutely sure about it.
Thank you again about your time. If you want to meet in person, Send me an email that clarifies your willingness to do so.
Sincerely,
SMART MANAGER

To Smart Manager:
It is not that i am against search of job via i-net, i absolutely support it, i even tried to do it myself in Cyprus, but badly failed... the problem is Cyprus itself and the way things work here. Internet is almost everywhere, it is cheap and easy to use, but as for jobs, it doesn't help much. Probably it is because Cyprus is so small that you can count by numbers all job offers, i cannot find another reason for this. There are almost no recruitment agencies... then there are specific requirements for jobs offers when foreign employees are involved, i.e. jobs must be advertised in a newspaper...
Of course all forums offer this service to post job offers, job requests etc, etc, but you can wait for ages for someone to respond to your posting there |
