Rightful Demnds of GCs

Propose and discuss specific solutions to aspects of the Cyprus Problem

There can be no solution if there is no political equality of the two communities. We need to understand this and also that the alternative to the solution is partition which some have termed europartition, but names, of course, do not matter. Partition, I am afraid, is being accepted by more people in the GC community now, as an alternative to the solution. In my mind Papadopoulos is taking us to partition in a very fast way. He even spelled it out in Finland, a month ago, when he said that partition is the next best solution.

The biggest obstacle to the solution has always been the inability of the GC leadership to accept, at first minor asks by the TC community and of course, giving in to the call for political equality of the communities, for some, is too much to bear. I remind you that betwen 1960 and 1963 we even allowed article 173 of the constitution to remain dormant. This is the sticky issue and collateral issues which are portrayed as important (properties, setlers) probably do not matter so much.

Alexandre Lordou,
My question was very specific. Are you or not the son of the guy I mentioned. If yes then I have nothing to apologise. In case you are not, then you shouldn't be offended anyway, as my opinion is and remains conditional.

Hiding behind a nick (pseudo name) and calling someone who has revealed his real name a crook is quite normal for some. Alexandre Lorde, this is bad company my friend.

This is not the issue, brother. The issue is people are judged according to who their father is.
