Sandy Beach Hotel Larnaca - how far from aiya Napa?

Postby Faye » Fri Jun 16, 2006 1:53 pm

Hi guys

Me and my boyfriend are off to stay in Sandy Beach Hotel in Larnaca on Sunday 25 June for two weeks.

We both like clubbing now and again and like going out to bars. Are there many in Larnaca at all Bar wise? Also, how far and how long will it take us to get to Aiya Napa for a night out?

And has anyone stayed in this hotel before? It cost us £1000 each for all inclusive so better be good reviews!!!

Thanks :D

thanks so much for this information - I am sooo excited I just cannot wait!

This info really helps. Also, how much for a taxi from the Larnaca airport to our hotel do you think?

I usually go to Maximillians as well, very friendly place. Stayed at Sandy Beach a couple of times for a few nights, nice hotel. There are also a lot of really nice restaurants (especially Masalas and French Rendevous) along the Larnaca Dhekelia Road. Also right across from Sandy beach is a little cafe/tavern called Spiros which has a nice view of the sea and is great for a light snack for lunch.

Sandy beach hotel is full of cockroaches, ants, rats and even a couple of snakes have been seen there...

Just kidding. Everyone I have spoken to has nothing but good words to say about the Sandy Beach hotel. From the outside, it does look the part as it goes. Staff are meant to be very friendly there as well. I'm sure that you and your boyfriend will love it here :)

I stayed there for 10 days in November. I must say I paid much much much less than that. I heard rumours that it was about to undergo a major refurbishment but this could have been lies.

Its a ncei hotel, great outdoor sections but the inside is quite oldish now but the service is still good but its one of those hotels that is dead after 8pm. There is a health spa downstairs which is gaurded by a man with boobs who will try and charge you to use the heated pool and sauna, steamoom, gym and jacuzzi, but dont pay, its just a trick on the tourists.

There is a lovely place across the road called La Mammounia, DO NOT GO THERE WITH YOUR MRS. Go alone and take lots of money. :D :D :D
