You are unlucky mate. Ayia Napa has now been banned from selling any alcohol because of too many drunken nights out. They want to turn it into a family resort with inflatable castles, clowns and dodgems. Been banned as from Sunday night. Was announced on the news last night.

Still, a holiday drinking coca cola and 7-up whilst bouncing on castles sounds like alot of fun :D

Is the the truth? Or a joke? I think it is joke because they can not prohibit the sale of alcohol ;)

I think this is true

Although I understand that if you go to the police station with proof that you are over 35 then you are able to be issued with a "ration card" enabling you to purchase up to 4 alchoholic drinks per day.
I think this is in line with the recently issued decree regarding "keeping the chavs out of Napa" campaign

Im sure Hazza will have more details
