whatever cadaunovera...flag, anthem...SOLUTION !!!! we have to have an identity b4 either of these symbolic entities take shape and neither us nor the TC's have a holistic identity...when we have a place that constitutes 1 country and 1 representative mirror - then we can sit down with a committee of creative people and figure out the pictures and songs (should we need either and/or both of them) !!! That's my humble explanation! |

Niyaz congratulations..... if only you were a president I think I would have travelled to Cyprus from Australia to vote for your proposal. I would only recommend just a small change but otherewise a great plan.
The change would be to keep religion out of it. I think it causes moore rift than peace. However I do agree with the restoration of religious buildings for the respect they deserve and for those Cypriots who can be bothered with the institution of church or the equivalent in the Islamic world.

Niyaz, I totally cogratulate you on your efforts. It is with great regret though that fascists and illeterate parties from both sides will opose your plan because to date it is the fairest adn more peaceful plan I have seen.
Mate if only you were the Sexretary general to the UN ... may be we'll have a United Cyprus where all of its citizens benefit socially, economically and politically.
Well done.
I would like to see a separation of state and religion and at the same time teachings on respect for all religions in Cyprus. |

if you call that a plan then we are definatly doomed forever lol i say get rid of everything turkish and greek on the island including language spoken. we can learn a neutaral language and have one language istead of greek or turkish.i blame the so called goverment workers who kiss the asses of turkey and greece just to feel important to say im a goverment official im a prime minister a president in reality they are the worse kind of cypriots and they should be deported to turkey and greece the lot of them and those who think they are greek and turkish they should be deported to let them go and live in turkey and greece since they are so proud to proclaim to the world they are greek and turks. |

Great ideas, I feel strongly about the flag staying and the language should be common in business - English seem like a defacto anyway.. most cypriots know english well..
But how can we make all this happen..? Turkey seems to be determined on 2 peoples, 2 states, 2 religions... If we go down this route Turkey will eventually make terretorial claims on the north and greece will take the south. Now if Turkey really wants to join the EU we may have a chance for peace.. No one has stated how we could put a cypriot plan on the discussion table...

| I have another idea.Why dont you declare yourselves in the UN an international protectorate?No official language no official nationality something like a blank in the map.No official currency ,one can pay in Euro USD Sterlings whatev...No police...free sex everywhere..Everyone can come and go,settle or unsettle,like the tower of Babel..LOL...That seems more realistic than having you guys reaching a deal.... |
